  • Human family requirements

I'm a great family pet and could go with older dog-savvy children that let me settle!

  • Other pet requirements

I could be an only dog or live with others, I'm easy! I am fine with cats.

  • House and garden requirements

I love sniffing around and would love a large, secure garden to potter in.

  • Out and about requirements

I'm happy to plod along on walks, and I love a cuddle (and treats) afterwards!

  • Training needs

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

  • Medical issues

I've got a head tilt, which is being monitored.

Dusk Is Curious, Cuddly, and Ready to Be Loved

Dusk is a wonderfully sweet 3-year-old French Bulldog who has come to us from a breeder in Ireland, ready to begin life in a loving home. As he has never lived in a home before, everything from television sounds to comfy sofas will be new to him, and he will need support with house training and general home life. He does come with his travel documentation and has already begun showing us just how much potential he has to thrive.

This handsome little man is full of charm and character. He has a gentle, affectionate nature and adores cuddles with his carers. One of our team recently spent time getting to know him better and described Dusk as inquisitive, playful, and full of personality. He loves to explore his surroundings, whether he's sniffing at flowers, checking that the gate is locked, or inspecting the grammar on a bench plaque! He’s a wonderfully entertaining companion who is sure to make his future family smile every day.

Dusk can be homed as an only dog if his adopters are around most of the time and have plenty of love and time to give, but he would also be happy with a friendly resident dog to show him the ropes and share cuddles with. He could live with kind, dog-savvy children who will respect his space while he settles in. He has met cats at the rescue and has been fine with.

Dusk has a permanent head tilt caused by a neurological issue. He needs no treatment and remains a happy, healthy dog. His little tilt doesn’t affect his day-to-day life at all—it just adds to his unique charm. He is also gaining weight steadily after arriving a bit underweight, and he is already walking beautifully on the lead.

Dusk truly is a joy to be around. He’s gentle, loving, and full of heart. He’s ready to begin the next chapter of his life, one filled with family, fun, and lots of snuggles on the sofa. Could you be the one to welcome him home?

Dusk's Diary

  • I was lucky enough to spend some time with Dusk earlier this week. This boy is such a charmer - the Frank Sinatra of the doggy world! He gently melts into you and is very generous with his kisses.

He has a really endearing and quirky little personality. And he has a stunning, squidgy adorable little face. Until a member of staff had pointed out the head tilt, I had not even noticed it.

Dusk was in a play area with a few other dogs and he was fine with them all. To be honest, he was more interested in getting lots of fuss but was not pushy when other dogs wanted some attention.

It would make my day to know this little man has been adopted.

  • I have passed Dusk so many times since he’s been here but only today I had the pleasure to spend some time. What an inquisitive, lovey fella he is. He checks out everything he passes, from checking empty bowls, the flowers in pots to even checking the spelling and punctuation of the writing on the bench. He will also check to see if the gate is locked too. He is such a loving boy w

He could live as an only dog or with other dogs. He’s good with children too and he would make a great addition to any family.

  • Dusk is a charming and affectionate boy who has recently arrived from a breeder in Ireland. He is an extremely friendly boy who adores human interaction, he is loving all the fuss and attention he can get and all the treats he's stocking up on! Dusk is confident enough to be homed as either an only dog in the right circumstances or with other friendly dogs. He is also able to live with dog-savvy older children who understand that he may need some time to settle into his new home. Dusk already walks beautifully on the lead, making him a pleasure to take out and about. Dusk will need a helping paw with toilet training and adjusting to household sounds, such as the TV and hoover, as he has never lived in a home before. Dusk is going to thrive in home life, he just needs the chance to prove it. Dusk has a travel document.

Dusk has arrived with a head tilt which the vet will take a look at to see if they can determine the cause. He is also a little underweight at the moment, but with good nutrition he should soon gain some weight.
