I can live with dog-savvy teenagers who understand my needs.
I want to be the only dog so I can have all the love to myself.
I’m would love a secure garden to play with my new humans in.
I’d enjoy one or two quiet walks a day and plenty of cuddle time.
I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.
I’m fully vaccinated and spayed and have had one tooth removed.
Meet Delilah - A Little Bundle of Joy
Delilah is a beautiful 4-year-old French Bulldog with a huge personality packed into a petite frame. She has come to us from a breeder and when she first arrived at the rescue, she was a little hand-shy and unsure of the world around her. But in just a few weeks, she has blossomed into a confident, affectionate, and playful girl who has completely stolen our hearts.
True to her breed, Delilah is full of character - lively, loving, and always ready to entertain. She walks beautifully on the lead, adores rolling around for belly rubs, and will shower you with endless kisses. Every day with her is a joy, and we know she will bring the same happiness to her forever family.
Delilah would thrive as the only dog in the home, as she prefers to have her humans all to herself. However, she is happy to socialise with other dogs when out and about. She can be homed with dog-savvy teenagers, and we are happy to cat test her if needed.
She has never lived in a home before so will need to learn all about home life and house training, but we don't think this will take her too long to pick up.
She may be small, but Delilah’s personality is mighty. Any family would be truly lucky to welcome this special girl into their home.
I had the pleasure of meeting Delilah for the first time today, and she was an absolute delight! She was confident right from the start and came bounding over to greet me as I stepped into her kennel with a big, enthusiastic welcome.
She’s had a brilliant day playing with her pal Jack the Jack Russell, and once the fun and games were over, she happily came over for a lovely end-of-day cuddle. A sweet, playful girl with so much love to give!
I work at Many Tears & have worked with Delilah so many times. If I could foster right now, she without a doubt would be home with me & I’d be sooooo tempted to adopt her - she’s one of a kind!!
So instead, I wanted to break Delilah free from the rescue for the day & give her her first taste of freedom. She was an ANGEL travelling in the car, and she practically snoozed the whole way. We made a few stops, first was Pets At Home, second was the beach & lastly was McDonalds!!
At Pets At Home, she picked out her new toys & some nice treats! She met a fellow Frenchie there, and I spoke to a couple of people telling them her story - she behaved impeccably, and was soooo intrigued by all the new smells.
Next stop was the beach where we met up with another staff member & her adopted MT dog. I had Delilah on a long line & let her explore the beach front. It brought tears to my eyes seeing her run around & have so much freedom. We must’ve walked along the beach for almost 2 hours, she was trotting along the whole time soaking up the sunshine, and when we had a moment to stop, she lay down & had a sunbathe.
Before leaving we stopped at the beach cafe, where she enjoyed some doggy ice cream & well deserved cuddles after her big beach adventure. She is simply incredible, and seeing her so relaxed and content made me feel all the more guilty of having to return her to the kennel at the end of the day.
The final stop was probably Delilah’s favourite - McDonalds!!! She only had 2 plain beef patties, but my god did she enjoy them. We sat in the rescue car park munching on our McDonalds together & enjoying our last few minutes before I took her back to her kennel.
My day out with Delilah is probably my most favourite day I’ve had whilst working at Many Tears. This angel girl exudes joy like I’ve never seen from a dog. If I was able to foster right now, Delilah would never have to see a kennel ever again. She is so unbelievably special, and whoever is lucky enough to adopt this girl will have a lifetime of laughter & joy!
Delilah is a gorgeous little lady that has come to us from a breeder and is desperately in search of a family to call her own. Delilah is a little worried at the moment, and is trying so hard to be brave in her new surroundings, and I am sure you understand the kennels can be a bit overwhelming for someone who requires a calm environment to thrive, and so we hope she doesn't have to wait for her forever home for long. Delilah would benefit from a kind resident dog in the home to learn to while she finds her confidence and learns all about home life. Delilah has not had a chance to live in a home just yet, and so she will need her new adopters to be understanding while she learns new skills such as how to walk on a lead and house trainings. Delilah is needing a confidence boost, and may need a help hand or paw while she learns that it us humans aren't so bad afterall.
