12-03-25 Fred was originally adopted from us as a puppy, but has been returned through no fault of his own as his owner has become ill. Fred is the cuddliest boy and his favourite things include: sardines and gravy, treats, and his human! He will do anything for a yummy treat and absolutely loves dinner time. Fred would thrive in a busy household as an only dog as he loves his people. Fred wants nothing more than to be curled up next to you on the sofa and offering all of the love he has to give or under your duvet at bed time snuggled up at your feet. We are told that Fred is house trained, but may still have some mishaps at night; so he has been using puppy pads for the accidents that may occur.

Although Fred is a wonderful boy and super friendly once you get to know him, he hasn't been well socialised around humans or other dogs and so his adopters will need to help build his confidence with this. Fred does walk on a lead quite nicely and would love to go on adventures and explore new places and things, but can be reactive to other dogs when out and about, so his adopters will need to work on this with him. We are also told that Fred prefers company and is happiest with his people and so his adopters will need to be around most of the time. He can suffer with separation anxiety, so this is something that his owners will need to be willing to work on with him and build up the time he is left. Freds previous owner mentioned that he can be vocal if he wants your attention and that he also likes to chew on fleecy blankets and his bedding, so his adopters will need to monitor this to keep him safe.

Fred cannot be homed with cats, small furries or chickens and he would need to be kept on lead in areas where they may be roaming free. Fred has already experienced home life and is hoping to find one again soon and that lasts forever!
