I need a quiet home where I won’t be overwhelmed while I settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me settle in and I have never met cats.

10-03-25 Meet little Miss Criss Cross Apple Sauce (just Apple Sauce to her friends), she has come to us from a breeder to find her new home and is a little overwhelmed at the moment. Apple Sauce is a timid girl who does like to cling to you while you hold her, accepting a gentle fuss and slow movements. Apple Sauce loves her kennel friends and will need another resident dog in the home to help her settle and teach her about home comforts! She has never lived in a home and will need some TLC and patience from her adopters to help her learn house training and lead walking, but she is a very smart girl and should pick it up in no time! She could be the apple of your eye if you look close enough!

During Apple Sauce’s initial examination, a lump was discovered on her neck and a biopsy was taken. The results indicated that it was cancerous, but unfortunately, further details were inconclusive. Due to the lump’s location, surrounded by multiple arteries, additional testing or removal would be extremely risky and potentially life threatening. Given these circumstances, we have decided to leave the lump as it is.

Despite her diagnosis, Apple Sauce remains a bright, lively little lady, and you wouldn’t immediately know she is unwell. Our greatest hope is that she finds a loving home where she will be cherished for however long she has left. We want her to experience the joys she’s never known like snoozing on the sofa in her very first home, feeling the sand beneath her paws at the beach and indulging in delicious treats, until the time comes to help her cross the bridge.

We can’t predict how much time she has left, it could be years, or it could be much shorter, but we do know that every moment with her will be precious. We hope there is a family out there willing to open their hearts to her, even knowing she may one day break theirs.

Her biopsy results can be shared directly with her adopters vet, and she will need to be adopted with a signed disclaimer, confirming her new family understands her condition and that it would not be coverable by insurance. If you have room in your heart and home for Apple Sauce, she will return that love tenfold.
