  • Human family requirements

    I need a quiet, child-free home where I won’t be overwhelmed.

  • Other pet requirements

I would be okay with a playful resident dog, or be an only but definitely no cats!

  • House and garden requirements

I’m active and would love a large, secure garden to let off steam.

  • Out and about requirements

I have lots of energy and need an active home that loves adventures.

  • Training needs

Please be patient with me, I need to learn lead walking and house manners.

  • Medical issues

I’m fully vaccinated and neutered, ready for my forever home!

Ronald is a bright, energetic boy who originally came to us from the pound and has been on quite the journey since his arrival. At first, he was overwhelmed and reactive to other dogs, spending most of his time alone in his kennel and has made quite the transformation.

This clever lad already knew commands like sit, paw, stay, down, and wait (he even waits patiently for his dinner!), but we’ve since discovered he also knows spin! Ronald is incredibly intelligent, eager to learn, and thrives when given mental and physical stimulation.

Initially, we thought Ronald would need to be the only dog in the home, but he’s made fantastic progress with his social skills. He now has a best friend at the rescue, Bailey, and they spend their days playing together in the big yard and even sharing toys peacefully in their kennel. Because of this amazing progress, we’re now happy to consider a home with another friendly, playful dog, provided the meet and greet goes well.

Ronald needs an experienced adopter who’s committed to continuing his training and helping him settle into home life. He walks nicely on the lead, but will need some support with house training as he adjusts. He’s also had a retained testicle, which was successfully repaired during his neuter.

This boy would thrive in an active home where he can burn off energy and go on plenty of adventures. While he may still be a bit of a work in progress, he’s come such a long way and has endless potential. With time, patience, and love, Ronald will be an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion.

Ronald's Diary

  • Well Ronald has come on leaps and bounds since his arrival at the rescue! Before he was reactive to other dogs and would spend everyday in his kennel on his own but we are so happy and proud to say his reactivity to other dogs while out a walk has decreased massively and he also now has a best friend here at the rescue called Bailey! Which means he gets to spend the whole day with her, this includes play dates down our big yard and non stop play in the kennel together. He shares his toys perfectly with her and there has been no issues. I believe we can now consider him to go to a home with another playful dog if the meet and greet went well.

On top of this it turns out Ronald doesn’t just know sit, paw, down and wait he also knows spin as well! A truly intelligent boy.

  • Ronald is an incredibly smart and energetic boy who has come to us from the pound and is now searching for his perfect forever home. He needs an experienced adopter who is committed to training, providing daily mental and physical stimulation, and helping him grow into the wonderful companion he has the potential to be. Ronald has come to us with a retained testicle that has been repaired during his neutered.

This clever boy already knows commands like sit, paw, stay, down, and even waits patiently for his dinner - he is seriously intelligent and eager to learn! However, he is currently a bit overwhelmed in his new environment and has shown some reactivity when meeting other dogs, so he would be best suited as the only dog in the home for now and we will continue to assess his behavior as he settles.

Ronald walks well on a lead but will need some support with house training as he adjusts and settles into his new environment. Ronald would thrive in an active home where he can burn off energy and go on plenty of adventures. While he may be a bit of a project, the effort will be more than worth it! His potential is limitless, and with the right guidance, he will make an incredibly rewarding and loyal companion. Are you up for the challenge and ready to give Ronald the time, patience, and love he deserves?
