  • Human family requirements

I’d be happy with dog-savvy children who respect my space.

  • Other pet requirements

I could live with other big dogs or be an only dog but I haven't met cats yet.

  • House and garden requirements

I’m active and would love a large, secure garden to let off steam.

  • Out and about requirements

I have lots of energy and need an active home that loves adventures.

  • Training needs

I walk well on the lead but will need help with housetraining.

  • Medical issues

I have very dry eyes and a vision impairment. I have also had 16 teeth extracted.

19-03-25 Kenya is a stunning and spirited girl who has spent her life as a show dog but is now ready to trade the spotlight for a warm, loving home. She’s inquisitive, affectionate, and full of personality, and ready for her next adventure.

She has come to us with severe dry eye, which she is receiving treatment for and is undergoing continuous treatment from the vets. We believe she does have some vision impairment, she does have a reaction to light and shadows, but is otherwise blind. However, this does not slow her down one bit! She loves to play in the garden and chase a tennis ball - which she can locate by sound and the shadow of the ball, what a smart lady! Kenya has also had 16 teeth extracted and so would benefit from a soft food diet.

Kenya could happily live with dog savvy children and other dogs, though she has a bold and confident nature that would also make her well-suited to being the only dog in a home where she gets plenty of attention. If she does have a canine companion, she’d prefer a larger dog with a similar energy level, as her excitement might be overwhelming for smaller dogs.

She walks beautifully on a lead and would love to explore the world with her new family. However, she’s still working on her house training, so patience and consistency will be important. She has a soft spot for black Kong toys and ox bones, which are her absolute favourites!

Kenya is more than ready to leave behind her show dog days and step into the role of a cherished family pet. She has so much love to give, and we know she is going to bring endless joy to the lucky family that adopts her!
