Sweet little Mocha has been at the rescue for 2 months now, bless her. She has made a little progress during this time, but I think she finds kennel life a bit overwhelming so she’s struggling to let her guard down. She is definitely more confident than she was when she first arrived, but she’s still wary of us humans and our intentions. She will run away when I approach her, but then she’ll usually hop into one of the beds for me to pick her up. She doesn’t like it, but as long as I’m slow and calm with her she’ll allow me to with no issues.
Mocha would really appreciate a calm and quiet home with at least 1 kind resident dog to be her best friend and her guide. I think she probably will be quite startled when she first gets home as everything will be so new to her, so her adopters will need to be very patient with her and understand her worries and fears. It may take her a little while to settle, but I am confident she will get there eventually in the right home. She’ll just need to be given lots of time and TLC.
Please don’t keep this little darling waiting for too much longer. It’s her time to start a new life and have a family for the first time .. it’s the least she deserves after everything she’s been through.
