I'm spayed and ready to find my forever family

City is a beautiful, shy girl who came to us from a home where many dogs were hoarded and neglected. Initially very nervous and preferring to observe from a distance, she has made incredible progress and now enjoys chin scratches and belly rubs once she trusts you.

She has learned to walk well on a harness and loves running around the play yard. While she can be a little excitable around other dogs, she settles quickly. City would do best in a calm home, either as an only dog or with a resident dog of beagle size or larger who can help guide her. She does not respond well to flat-faced breeds such as Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, or Pugs, so we are looking for a home without these types of dogs to help her feel safe and at ease.

Any children in the home will need to be 12+ and dog-savvy, able to give her the space and time she needs to adjust.

Although she has lived in a home, City may need to learn all about house training and home life again but with patience and encouragement, she will get there. She has come so far and is ready to leave kennel life behind. Now she just needs a loving adopter to help her continue her journey in a forever home.
