Timid but Loving Rhym is Hoping for Her Special Someone

Rhym is a beautiful 8-month-old Pomsky who has come to us from a breeder after being unsold. In her short life, she has had very little socialisation, which means the world can feel like a big and overwhelming place for her right now. She is a very sweet girl, but also quite timid and touch sensitive. When feeling unsure, her first instinct is to move away rather than seek comfort.

Despite her nerves, Rhym is starting to show little glimpses of the loving companion she could become. She recently enjoyed a gentle playdate in the sunshine with her carer, happily exploring and pausing to enjoy her absolute favourite treat, liver paste. Moments like these show that, with time, love, and patience, Rhym is ready to bond and will blossom into a truly loyal and affectionate friend.

As she has never lived in a home before, everything will be new to Rhym. She will need calm, kind adopters who can support her as she learns about house training, home life, and walking on a lead. At this stage, she has not worn a harness or lead, so a very gentle and gradual introduction will be important. Once she gains confidence, she is likely to enjoy walks and would benefit from a home that can keep her both physically and mentally stimulated.

Rhym is looking for a quiet, adult-only home without young children, where she can settle at her own pace. She will need at least one kind and confident resident dog to help her feel secure and to show her how lovely family life can be.

Behind Rhym’s striking Pomsky eyes is a sweet, sensitive soul who is waiting to find her special someone. With patience and understanding, she will make the most devoted and loving companion.

Rhym's Diary

  • Today was a little brighter and just right for making one of our kennel beauties feel truly special. Rhym, our stunning Pomsky, enjoyed a playdate in the sunshine with her kennel mom, filled with all the things she loves most, fresh air and her absolute favorite treat, liver paste! Rhym soaked up every second of attention, bouncing through the area, pausing only to lean in for some paste. Even though she can be cautious, give her time as she’s a true heart stealer, affectionate, and so ready to bond with her forever human. Behind those piercing Pomsky eyes is a loyal soul just waiting for her person.

  • Rhym is one of a litter of Pomsky puppies who have come to us from a breeder as they were unsold. Rhym is a sweet girl but is quite touch sensitive at the moment and is very unsure about being touched or handled and clearly hasn't had much socialisation in her short life. She is a very timid girl who would much prefer to flee and run away rather than approach us at the moment, so we will need a lot of love and TLC in her new home. With time, love and patience she will start to settle in and will blossom into the most wonderful friend.

Rhym will be looking for a calm and quiet home, with no young children and with adopters who can offer her lots of love and kindness. She will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to be her friend and help her to settle in. Rhym has never lived in a home before, so will need kindness and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life as well as new skills like house training. She has also never worn a harness or walked on a lead before and so will need a gentle introduction to this. Once she gains enough confidence, we think she will enjoy walks and would love to find an active home with adopters who will keep her both physically and mentally stimulated.
