A Gentle Soul Ready to Shine

Moto is a 7-year-old large miniature Poodle who has come to us from a breeder. At just over 12kg, he is much smaller than a standard Poodle but still full of quiet charm. Moto is now beginning a new chapter, and we’re seeing glimpses of the lovely dog he’s becoming.

Understandably, Moto is still shy and wary of human hands, but his confidence has grown since arriving with us. He’s especially motivated by food and is learning to take treats from kind hands, even if he hasn’t quite mastered gentleness yet! Behind his initial caution is a playful, sweet-natured boy who loves his toys, especially tough chews like Nylabones and enjoys snuggling up in his bed.

Moto is a dream resident at the rescue. He gets along beautifully with all the other dogs, shares his space and food without fuss, and is clean and quiet in his kennel. While he’s not ready to face the world on his own just yet, he will thrive in a calm, understanding home with a friendly resident dog who can guide him and offer reassurance.

His new family will need to support him with house training, lead walking, and building confidence in everyday life. Everything will feel new and overwhelming at first, but with patience and gentle encouragement, Moto has the potential to truly blossom. He recently had a dental where one tooth was removed, and he recovered well.

Moto is a very special boy who just needs someone to believe in him. If you can offer a peaceful home filled with kindness, a doggy friend, and the time to help him grow, Moto could become the most devoted and gentle companion you could hope for.

Moto's Diary

  • I’ve been working with this very handsome boy for almost the whole time he’s been at the rescue and he’s definitely a very special man!! Even though he is still wary of human hands, he’s made a really good amount of progress and his confidence is definitely a lot higher than it was when he first arrived. Food has played a big part in this as he really loves his yummy treats, so I’ve been slowly winning him over and gaining his trust by hand feeding him different things. He still hasn’t yet learnt how to take food gently though, so I do have to be careful with my fingers!!!! It’s not his fault though, it’s still just new to him. Bless him.
At the rescue Moto is the perfect resident. He’s good with all dogs, he shares everything including his food, he’s as clean as he can be, and I hardly ever hear a peep out of him. When he’s in his kennel, he’ll often be cuddled up in one of the beds, or chewing on a toy. He loves the really hard ones like Nylabones so he has them in his kennel nearly every day!
Moto will definitely still need a resident dog in his new home as I think he may be a little overwhelmed with everything at first. Having a doggy friend to follow around and copy will help him massively with things such as house training and eventually learning how to walk on a lead. His new owners will need to be patient with him and understand that he’ll have lots of worries and fears, but they’ll work with him through them all and teach him that the world isn’t as scary as he thinks it is. In the right home, I really do believe this boy will shine and become the most wonderful companion. He just needs to be given a chance.

  • Moto is a gentle boy who has come to us from a breeder and is learning to trust humans. Coming from a breeding background, he can understandably be shy and reserved when people are nearby, but when he thinks no one is watching, his playful and fun loving side truly shines! Moto enjoys the company of other dogs and more importantly - loves spending his time with his furry friends in the play yard! To help him build confidence and come out of his shell, Moto will need a kind and patient resident dog to show him the ropes and provide reassurance. He is looking for a home that understands his needs and will give him the time and encouragement he deserves. As Moto adjusts to home life, he will need to learn about house training and how to walk on a lead, but with the right guidance, he has so much potential to blossom. If you have a gentle, understanding home and a friendly dog who could be his companion, Moto could be the perfect addition to your family! Moto had 1 tooth extracted at the time of his neuter.
