Simba

31-03-25 Simba originally came to us from a breeder back in October. He was adopted a few weeks ago but unfortunately his owner had a fall that resulted in broken bones and so she was no longer able to care for Simba so made the heartbreaking decision to return him to our care.
When he originally arrived with us, he was a very scared boy, but he has progressed so much since then. Simba is now a confident boy when he has a bond with you but it can sometimes take him a while to warm up to you. He’s a dog that does well with a solid routine to help keep his confidence up. When he is introduced to something new he can be very nervous even if it’s something as simple as walking through a new part of the rescue.
Simba gets on well with all of the dogs he meets and has a really playful side when a dog matches his energy. He will need at least one kind resident dog in his new home to help him be confident and adapt to life at home. Simba could be homed with dog savvy older teenagers who will understand that he is going to need time and patience to adjust and will probably not be their best friend to start with. He has briefly lived in a home so may have started to learn about house training, but as he had never lived in a home before he will still need time and patience to adjust to home life and master new skills like house training. He can already walk on a lead and loves walking down to the play yard to do zoomies with his friends.
Simba is currently being treated for sore ears.
