Bonnie is Ready for a Fresh Start

Bonnie is a 6-year-old Chihuahua who has found herself at Many Tears after her previous owner sadly became unwell and could no longer care for her or the other dogs she lived with. Having come from a loving home, Bonnie is now adjusting to the big changes in her world and is looking for a calm and gentle forever home where she can feel safe and cherished once again.

Initially shy and unsure, Bonnie has shown her sweet and affectionate side to those who give her the time and space to settle. She has now moved into a foster home, where she is proving to be clean indoors, happy to potter in the garden, and walks nicely on a lead with her harness. One of her favourite things is a sunny spot for a nap or a little roll in the grass. She clearly remembers the comforts of home life and is already showing just how ready she is to be someone’s loyal little shadow.

Bonnie bonds quickly and closely with her chosen person and would thrive in a quiet home where someone is around for most of the day and any children are older teenagers and understanding of dogs who will likely form a strong bond with one person. She loves companionship and gets upset if she can’t be near her person, so a home where she is truly part of daily life would be ideal. While she has lived with other dogs before, she can be a bit bossy with canine companions and may prefer to be the only dog, especially if it means more one-to-one time with her human.

This darling little lady would be perfect for someone newly retired or working from home who wants a loving, easy-going companion to share their days. With her gentle nature and loving heart, Bonnie is ready to cuddle up with her forever person and start the next chapter of her life, full of sunbathing, strolls, and love.

Could you be the special someone she’s waiting for?

Bonnie's Diary

  • Bonnie has come into a foster home and although shy and unsure at first, it’s very clear that she has lived in a home before. She is clean indoors and likes sunbathing and to potter round the garden. She walks fine on a lead and harness and likes to roll in the grass. Bonnie is very people orientated and bonds quickly with her human. She loves to go out on a trip with her human for the day on her own and because of this we think she would do well as an only dog. She isn’t keen on a large pack and if she was homed with another dog she can be a little bossy so that needs to be taken into account.

She likes to follow her human around and sleep with them and cries if she can’t get to them. Bonnie eats well and is a perfect little dog for someone who is active and home most of the day. Any children would need to be older. She is a perfect little girl for someone newly retired and active.

  • Meet Bonnie! She has come to us from a home with several other dogs as unfortunately her owner became unwell and could no longer look after her or her friends. She is now here at Many Tears and is ready to start her new life and find her forever home.

Bonnie is initially quite worried when she first meets you and is quite overwhelmed to find herself here, but she soon warms up to you and is happy to be handled and enjoys a gentle fuss. She will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult home, where she can settle in at her own pace and come out of her shell. Bonnie has always lived with other dogs and would be happy to have another kind dog in her new home but could also be homed as an only dog in the right circumstances. She has lived in a home before so may know the basics but may need some reminding with house training.

Bonnie is a sweet girl and with time, love and kindness, we think she is going to blossom into the most wonderful and loving girl who will turn into your best friend!
