  • Human family requirements

I need a calm and quiet adult home where I can settle in.

  • Other pet requirements

I would like at least one similar sized female dog in my new home. But no cats!

  • House and garden requirements

I would love a garden to run and play in!

  • Out and about requirements

I love going for walks and will be looking for an active home.

  • Training needs

I am living in a foster home and am now house trained.

  • Medical issues

I had 4 teeth extracted and have had ear infections previously.

Teddy is a sweet chap who originally came to us from a breeder. He was adopted for a few months, but sadly the resident dog struggled to accept him, and Teddy became very bonded to the male adopter, which led to him feeling anxious when separated. He has now been returned to us and is currently in foster, where he’s settling back in beautifully.

Teddy is a gentle, affectionate little lad who gets on well with all the other dogs in foster, but he especially enjoys the company of female dogs. He’s lively, playful, and loves to run, zoomies in the garden are his absolute favourite! Because of this, a secure, good-sized garden is essential for him. He’s also brilliant both on and off the lead and enjoys his walks very much.

He tends to form a close bond with one person, often the man of the house, and can become unsettled when that person is out of sight. However, with consistent boundaries and gentle reassurance, Teddy is improving and learning to manage this. He’s clean in the home, eats well, sleeps upstairs with his foster family, and is very well-behaved at the groomers.

Teddy would love a calm, adult-only home (or one with older, dog-savvy teenagers) where someone is around most of the time. He will need at least one friendly, similar-sized female dog in the home to help him feel confident and provide companionship. He cannot live with cats.

Although he may be a little wary of strangers at first, he now settles more quickly and is learning to accept a fuss once he feels safe. He is a clever, sensitive boy who has come a long way already and is ready to find his forever family. Teddy’s new home must be experienced with the needs of ex-breeding dogs and willing to offer him time, patience, and plenty of love.

Teddy has had four teeth removed and a history of ear infections, which his adopters will need to monitor, as these may not be covered by insurance.

Teddy is an absolute treasure, bright, loyal, and full of fun. He’s now ready for his next chapter, and we know the perfect home is out there waiting for him.

Teddy's Diary

  • Teddy, just 8 years old, has settled back into foster life beautifully. He’s a lovely, gentle boy who gets along well with all our other dogs. He forms a strong bond with one person—typically the man of the house—and can become a little anxious when his foster dad isn’t around. However, he now responds very well to clear boundaries, especially around barking and attention-seeking.

Teddy would thrive in a home with a friendly female dog as a companion and playmate. He doesn’t enjoy being left alone, so we usually take him along when we go out. While he can be wary of strangers at first, he now settles more quickly and happily accepts fuss and attention once he feels comfortable.

He eats well, sleeps upstairs with us, and is very good both on and off lead. He’s healthy, with no ongoing issues and no recent ear infections. Teddy is lively, loves to run, and needs plenty of exercise—ideally in a large, secure garden where he can enjoy his zoomies! He’s also very well-behaved at the groomers.

Teddy is a clever, affectionate boy who’s looking for a calm, active home where he can feel secure, loved, and part of the family.

  • This dear little boy (11kg) is Teddy, a handsome apricot poodle. An active just 8 years old.

Teddy has mastered lead walking, house training, being good at the groomers, mixing with all dogs large and small and playing with a ball. He loves to run and do zoomies when he’s happy too. Unfortunately he cannot live with cats.

A few months ago, Teddy was adopted to a couple but he was recently returned to his fosterer because he became too possessive of his adopter dad, getting upset if they were separated. He led an almost sedentary life with the man, wasn’t corrected or guided with his behaviour and he became more and more confused.

Since being back in familiar surroundings and with proper boundaries in place he’s beginning to settle again and he’s much happier for this.

He’s a lovely boy, affectionate and loyal but he needs lots to do and lots going on. He loves being outside and is happiest with other girl dogs of a similar size and energy. Poodles are clever dogs with active minds. (They were originally bred to accompany horses during a hunt before they were reduced to the tiny hand bag size in some cases.) He won’t suit being a lap dog with nothing to keep his mind busy.

Initially he will bark at strangers, but the resident dogs bark too, so that’s understandable! He soon settles though.

Teddy is now looking for a home with resident female dogs who love to run and play but who will let him cuddle at the end of the day. He needs a garden, regular off lead walks and someone who understands ex breeding dogs and who is there for him most of the time.

Teddy has waited a long time for his forever home and the next and final home will be 5* and fulfil all the criteria! He’s too special for it not to be perfect for him.

  • Teddy originally came to us from a breeder. He was adopted for a few months, but sadly the resident dog struggled to accept him and so he has been returned to us. Teddy also bonded very closely with the male human in his new home and would get very upset when he wasn’t around.

Teddy has been returned to his foster home where he is settling back in well and is now ready to look for his forever home. Teddy has now mastered lead walking and house training and also is very good at the groomers. He loves to mix with dogs of all sizes and loves playing with a ball too! He likes to run and do zoomies when he’s happy, which is so sweet.

Teddy is looking for a home where there is at least one other female resident dog to be his friend and would like them to be a similar size and energy level, who love to run and play. He cannot be homed with cats. He would like a garden to run around in and once settled would love to go for long, off lead walks.

Teddy would like his adopters to be around most of the time and have experience with ex-breeding dogs. He will be best suited to an adult home or with dog savvy, older teenagers.

Teddy has had ear infections previously and while they are fine right now, this is something his adopters would need to monitor and would not be coverable by insurance.
