Wilbur

Wilbur is a striking tabby boy with bags of personality and charm. He has come into our care through no fault of his own with his friend Betsi. His previous owner moved house and sadly couldn’t take the pair with them, so now this lovely duo is looking for a second chance at a forever home. Wilbur would be happy in a new home with Betsi; however, he’s a confident, curious little explorer who loves to check out everything going on around him, so he could be homed on his own. We are told that he has been around children and so we would be happy to home him with dog-savvy cats that understand he may need time to settle.

Wilbur is very easy-going and has a wonderfully laid-back attitude to life, he especially enjoys a good nap in a sunny spot or a cosy corner. This lad definitely knows what he likes! He’s not a fan of dry biscuits and would much prefer a tasty serving of wet food. He also has a soft spot for milk and will have a sip of water when he must, but he’d much rather enjoy a bowl of milk when offered.

In his previous home, Wilbur would venture outdoors but much prefers the cosiness of inside. However, if he is to be allowed outdoors this will need to be slowly introduced and after he has had time to settle into the home.

Wilbur enjoys affection, but always on his terms. He’s not the sort to be picked up or fussed when he’s not in the mood, but when he is, he’ll come to you for strokes, snuggles, or simply to hang out in your space. Like many cats, he’s not a fan of baths, and he’ll make that quite clear! Wilbur is looking for a home that respects his independence but also loves him for the quirky, clever, and affectionate boy he is. He’d suit a family who understands cat behaviour and is happy to let him come and go as he pleases, especially when it comes to cuddles!

Wilbur has come to us a little underweight so would benefit from plenty of treats and a hearty diet to get him back to a comfortable weight!
