If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

28-09-2017 Fleur is 5 years old and the most gentle dog.  She is very sad to find herself here in kennels after her owner died and there was no one to look after her and her friend Zeus. These are two diamond dogs who walk on leads and we believe are house trained.  They get on with other dogs and could happily share their new home with them but if they are homed together we will accept a donation for one and the full adoption fee for the other. Fleur has a passport and now all she needs is a home.
assport which says he is 5 but we believe he is more like 7 so this is what he will be registered as here.

18-06-18 UPDATE
Fleur and Zeus and recently went to the Many Tears Friends and Fosterers camping weekend and had a wonderful time! We have been told by so many people how beautifully behaved they were and also what an amazing bond they have with each other. We are so proud of them and so grateful to their fosterers who have looked after these two beautiful dogs for quite a while now. For this reason and in an effort to keep these two together as they make each other so happy, we will accept one donation fee for the pair. Please do not overlook Zeus and Fleur, they are so easy going and have so much love to give.

12-07-18 UPDATE

This update is a summary of the updates that I have submitted during the 8 months that Zeus and Fleur have been in my care. They are a bonded pair and get distressed when separated so should be homed together. I think that I know them really well after this length of time and have watched them come on in leaps and bounds from quite timid dogs to confident, happy and friendly pooches. They may be ‘mutts’ but are the nicest, good natured, most biddable and obedient dogs that have come through my house.
They are great off lead with excellent recall and never go far, often returning to their human for a head scratch and reassurance. They greet other dogs politely and never the hint of a problem. House training was a bit iffy to start with but is now perfect. Their size is a bit deceptive on the photographs, they are both about the size of a Border Collie with Zeus being slightly taller due to his long legs. Both dogs are very waggy and have exceptionally noisy tails as you can hear the thump, thump, thump on the sofa throughout the house.
Fleur likes her own space but comes up for fuss when the time suits her, which is becoming more frequent. She is very strong on the lead and will chase both cats and squirrels – no cats or small furries for this one! She is tolerant of children but worried by noisy, boisterous behaviour so probably best suited to older or calm children.

18-10-18 UPDATE

Zeus and Fleur have been in foster with me for a year and I can’t understand why they are still here; they have proved themselves to be not only really easy dogs but also serious couch potatoes.  I took them on holiday to the Lake District last month and they loved every minute of the long walks in the Lakeland Fells, carrying their own provisions in their little doggy back packs.  But back in the caravan, they reverted to couch potatoes and got down to some serious cuddling and sleeping.
.....We dined most evenings in the local dog friendly pub and their behaviour was impeccable, greeting all visiting dogs (even the stroppy ones) politely and worming their way into the hearts of the serving staff who stopped to give them a head scratch and a little treat every time that they passed.

ADOPTION DETAILS - FLEUR IS BY DONATION

Although FLEUR is by donation rather than the full adoption fee, we ask for a minimum donation of £100 to help cover the costs that have been incurred. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
