15-12-17 Saffron is a 5 yr old ex-breeding Jug.She is scared and very unsure of human touch. She is very small and just doesn't understand what kindness is all about. She is however keen to explore and very waggy with her doggy friends. She rushed straight to the toy box to investigate new things. She will need another dog to teach her about house training and lead walking and a toy box all of her own in her new home. Once she has settled this little lady will bring so much joy to your life and vice versa.

31-12-17 UPDATE

Today Saffron had her first time on a harness. She has taken a long time to begin to trust me enough to even let me handle her without being stiff as a board, so it was a big deal to give the harness a go. She responded to it better than I expected to be honest, as she didn't try to run from me and she even seemed to find some level of comfort in me, but she did shake all the time there was no other dog around. She really depends on other dogs to give her the confidence she needs and the only time she lifted her tail was when meeting some dogs out in the sand school. Saffron will definitely need a confident resident dog to learn from in her new home. She has come a very long way whilst here but she has so much further to go. Can you be the person to help her along the way?..

10-02-18 UPDATE

Saffron is still slowly making progress to become a confident little girl. She always greets you with a waggy tail even though she is still unsure of people. She will approach and lick my hand joyfully but is very touch shy if you try and stroke her.
She relies heavily on her kennel friends for confidence but is coming round to thee idea that people can also be nice.

02-03-18 UPDATE
Sweet Saffron has settled well, and really enjoys cuddling up with her canine friends here.  She is very unassuming, easy going and delightful.  She is doing very well with her  house training, and readily goes out into the garden, even with all the cold weather.
She is close to being able to walk on the lead, and is gloriously happy out in my secure field running, jumping and letting out little barks of sheer joy (on a long line).  She travels well in the car, and is keen to come out for her outings.
She sleeps contentedly all through the night in a cosy and comfortable crate with a couple of her friends.
Saffron is a very enchanting, sweet natured girlie, who will need a kind, cuddly dog/s in her new home, and gentle encouraging new owners who will know how to enable her  overcome her shy ways, and  find all the joys life can offer.

16-05-18 UPDATE

Saffron is the most unussuming, submissive little dog.  She is absolutely perfect with all dogs, but she is especially happy to have been reunited with Nutmeg, who she arrived at Many Tears with, back in December 2017.    They are close friends and spend much of their time cuddled up together, or running about in the field sharing the same sniffs.

In the most perfect of circumstances, Nutmeg and Saffron,( the Spice girls!)  could possibly be homed together, even if there was no other dogs in the home.  They would certainly like the opportunity to stay together.

They both walk perfectly on the lead, love a nice ride in the car, and are really well behaved.  They enjoy running about in my secure field, and always stay close by.

Saffron is completely house trained, non destructive, and just so easy to have around the place.

Saffron is still quite scared of people, but she is getting steadily braver.  She loves to sit up on the sofa in the evenings, cuddled up to my husband, she's a bit of a man's girl !!

Saffy will need a kind resident dog in her new home to be her friend and 'advisor'.

Saffy is a dear, sweet, gentle girl, who will need kindness and understanding that she is still shy, but she  is such a harmless soul, she could not fail to win over a loving heart.

22-08-18 UPDATE

Sweet Saffron seems to have turned a corner over the last few weeks.  She gets so excited about going out for her walkies, and sometimes jumps up nibbling your hand in delight.  She also comes to see me when I wake up in the morning (she sleeps on the bed) wagging her tail and giving small kisses, this is  a big deal for her ( I treasure it!!)

Saffy is a wonderful little dog, and has such a non confrontational nature.  I have to feed her on her own, or she would not get any food - she'd just allow anyone to take her dinner off her.
She loves her doggy friends, especially her fellow Spice girls (Nutmeg and newbie Audi).
She has come so far already, and I have no doubt she will complete her journey to 'normality'  and continue to be an utter joy every step of the way.
