05-10-18 Bumble Bee is a 5½ year old female exbreeding cocker x cavalier . She is happy to come up to you and very happy for a fuss. She enjoys beng handled, and is an absolute little poppet ! Darling Bumble only has 3 legs as she was hit by a car and had to be amputated. She manages well and we think she all the more beautiful for being so brave. Bumble will need a kind resident dog in her home to show her all about house training and how to walk on a lead. She is a darling, so please don't pass her by.

10-11-18 UPDATE

Lovely sweet Bumble Bee (or BiBi here for short) has been in foster for about 10 days now, and I can honesty say she is the easiest foster I have had in a year!
BB is very placid and submissive, my other dogs love her. Even the crazy chocolate lab seems to understand that she is a bit unstable on her feet and is very careful around her. Having said that, she seems quite confident in the garden when she is hopping about, sniffing everything and following me for treats!
In the house she is very happy with just staying on her bed all day - either catching up on some sleep in warm comfort or just watching the world. If I pick her up and put her on my lap she relaxes immediately and enjoys cuddles and attention.
She hasn’t mastered the courage to explore the house yet, but will get out of her bed for mealtimes and to get a toy to add to her collection! BB has been completely clean in the house and is always happy to get back indoors from her garden toilet breaks.
BB is left on her own for an hour daily when I take other dogs out and is fine with it, but I still think that she needs support of a kind and confident dog in her home. Bumble Bee will be a perfect companion for someone who cannot go for long walks - she is a bit of a couch potato! Is your couch comfy?

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
