25-05-2021 Helli is a very sweet little dog who has come from Romania. She was born on the streets and taken to the Pound. Nobody wanted her and her future was very bleak. Helli is a special girl with some medical issues going on, She has a very rounded head which could indicate she has mild hydorcephalus but this cannot be confirmed without her being tested. She has limited vision and a dog like little Helli does not last very long in a high kill pound but luckily Helli was saved by someone who took her to safety and now she is here. Helli is a very special girl that has captured the hearts of the staff at MTAR. She is a shy girl that adores a gentle fuss, but only after you make the first move to initially stroke her. She has grown tremendously since being at the rescue, and slowly her loving personality is starting to shine through. She is a quirky girl with a heart of gold, and not a bad bone in her body. We are desperate for her to find a home that understands her unique personality, slight medical issues, and who will spend the time to show her what the world is like. Anyone would be lucky to adopt this angel, she a truly one of a kind.

11-08-21 UPDATE

Little Helli has arrived in her foster home and is the sweetest, gentle soul we have ever fostered. She's settled in living indoors for the first time in her life and has decided she likes a cosy basket and is happy to be surrounded by the other dogs big and small !
Shes an absolute amazing little soul and manages brilliantly being partially sighted, she can definitely see enough to get along fine and never seems to bump into anything or not know where you are. She will chase and follow the other dogs around the garden and likes to play!
She would so love someone to give her her first proper home and bond with someone who will love and look after her, shes had such a hard life so far being partially sighted and living in rescue centres it would be amazing if theres someone out there who can share their life with her, shes a really special girl!

This little sweet girl is an absolute star here in her foster home.  She's decided she loves living in a home and loves being brushed and stroked and curling up in her cosy basket! Helli loves to play with other dogs and will charge around the garden playing chase, she obviously sees reasonably well as she never runs into anything and can always see where the other dogs are going!
Everyone who sees her says she reminds them of a little deer , She has mild hydrocephalus, but this doesn't seem to affect her in anyway apart from her limited vision. She's on no medication and is a normal happy dog who loves her dinner, treats and toys.  It's so lovely seeing her happy and playing.  She so deserves her first proper home and I know this sweet loyal girl will completely blossom if someone could give her a chance.

05-09-2021 UPDATE

Super sweet Helli , that's what I heard my foster mum say to someone the other day!   I think its because I'm kind and gentle to all the other dogs here, even the pesky puppies that were climbing all over me last week!
I've been kind of waiting to get my forever home for a while now and lots of the other dogs that have been here have had kind people come to adopt them giving them new collars, leads, treats and fuss and stroke them - I always watch and hope they are coming to choose me but no one so far!
I worry its because I can't see properly, but it doesn't bother me at all and I can see enough to play and chase the other dogs and I NEVER bump into anything. Foster mum is hoping my turn is right around the corner and someone will see how beautiful I am and always the best dog here.  I always happily share my bed and toys with the other dogs, i rarely ever bark (even when the others go nuts when the door bell rings I don't join in).  I'm clean in the house now, always during the day and most nights.  I'm extremely gentle, sweet natured, cute and kind!
Oh I nearly forgot!!! I go for walks on the lead now in the woods, just starting to gain my confidence and get use to the lead! I've never had my own home before and lived in rescues since I was found on the streets in Romania. If someone would find it in their hearts to adopt me, foster mum says they won't be disappointed, I'm the most contented little foster dog she's ever had!

15-09-21 UPDATE

Well here I am again, still on the Many Tears AVAILABLE list and foster mum can't think why I haven't been snapped up.
I've been coming on leaps and bounds, I now love my walks and even walk on the path with all the traffic going passed on the road.
On sunday we had a fundraiser afternoon tea and cakes here in the garden and we had a ton of visitors and I took it all in my stride, lots of people stroking me and even giving me cake which I loved. There were loads of dogs and children running around and I loved them all, I've so many new friends now!
I did have a dream that when I travelled to the UK from Romania that some lovely people give me a special forever home and I would reward them by being their soft cuddly friend! I'm still hoping for this and the lovely lady that helps us Romanian dogs sent my foster mum my baby photo (I've been in a rescue all my life) and I think we can all agree I was very CUTE! So I'm still cute just a little bigger and still waiting for my special someone!

23-09-21 UPDATE
Helli is here with us in Bristol for a couple of weeks while her foster family have a holiday. She settled well and has made friends with all our dogs and some visiting dogs too. She'd ideally like someone younger to play with but she is gentle and kind and really very easy to have around. Her eyesight hasn't been an issue at all. She's very sweet.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.
* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
