25-05-2021 Helli is a very sweet little dog who has come from Romania. She was born on the streets and taken to the Pound. Nobody wanted her and her future was very bleak. Helli is a special girl with some medical issues going on, She has a very rounded head which could indicate she has mild hydorcephalus but this cannot be confirmed without her being tested. She has limited vision and a dog like little Helli does not last very long in a high kill pound surrounded by many other dogs and not enough food to share.
Luckily Helli was saved by someone who took her to safety and tried to find her a home. We were contacted and we agreed to accept this sweet and loving dog. Helli wags her tail as you give her a gentle fuss. She is worried when she first meets you but does settle and really becomes very affectionate when you are friends. We believe she is going to thrive in a home if she has a resident dog to learn new skills such as housetraining and how to walk on a lead.
Helli needs love, time, patience and reassurance. If you can offer her this in a quiet, adult only home please get in touch. She has a passport

28-06-21 UPDATE

This was the welcome that I got from Helli this morning after not having seen her for two weeks. Such an innocent precious soul who is gentle and kind with everyone and everything. Can you open your heart to our lady and give her everything that she has been so deprived of? The saying is: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" she is oh so beautiful to us.

Helli is a very special girl that has captured the hearts of the staff at MTAR. She is a shy girl that adores a gentle fuss, but only after you make the first move to initially stroke her. She has grown tremendously since being at the rescue, and slowly her loving personality is starting to shine through. She is a quirky girl with a heart of gold, and not a bad bone in her body. I am desperate for her to find a home that understands her unique personality, slight medical issues, and will spend the time to show her what the world is like. Anyone would be lucky to adopt this angel, she a truly one of a kind.

ADOPTION DETAILS
If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
