06-07-21 Eagle is a busy Brittany Spaniel who has come from a breeder to find his best home. He mind is sharper than a pin and he is looking for a home that is experienced with high energy, clever dogs as his mind is always busy and thinking. He would much prefer to be the only dog in his new home. Eagle is a friendly lad who walks well on a lead He will need a serious amount of exercise and lots of enrichment activities and challenges or he will be in danger of becoming bored and making his own entertainment. He needs an adult only home and an experienced adopter who can harness all his energy and create a positive, well balanced dog with his very handsome boy. He's got masses of potential and could be a champion for you.

13-07-21 UPDATE

Eagle is such a lovely little dog, he loves being outside and sniffing everywhere he can. He walks really well on a lead but does pull a little out of excitement. He’s full of energy but also enjoys a fuss. Eagle does not enjoy the company of other male dogs but can happily live with female dogs or as an only dog. He will need someone who can match his energy and keep him busy and well exercised. With a little bit of house training, he would make an excellent pet.

04-08-21 UPDATE
I’ve been working with this lovely boy for a good few weeks now and I’m falling more and more in love with him each day. I actually can’t understand how he’s still here, but it seems he doesn’t get a lot of attention from visiting people looking for a dog. I personally think he’s beautiful inside and out, and I’m hoping I can change all of your minds too!
Eagle is extremely active, intelligent and well behaved. He already knows basic commands and he’s very food orientated so I know he will be an absolute dream to train. He has a LOT of energy so we’re looking for a very active home for Eagle where he will be taken on adventures with his humans every day … he may even be a good candidate for agility!! He absolutely loves going for walks and finding new scents and trotting along in the long grass … but then I have to take him back to his kennel which he isn’t the biggest fan of. I can’t say I blame him, it’s not nice for a dog with that amount of energy to be cooped up for most of the day. I try and take him out as often as I can, but I have so many other dogs to look after too .. it’s hard.
We would prefer for Eagle to be re-homed as an only dog, however we have recently started to introduce him to some females. If there was a perfect home waiting for him with a female dog no bigger than him, we would consider it. He’s not the biggest fan of male dogs, so this is something his future owners will need to take into consideration. He passes them in the street absolutely fine, he’s just not keen on having them in his space! Eagle can be homed with older children, as long as they are very dog savvy as he does jump around when he’s excited.
Eagle has been waiting a long time to find his forever home now, with not a lot of interest. My heart breaks for him, so I’m hoping this update will help. Please consider welcoming this lovely boy into your family if you’re suitable … please.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
