JESS IS LOOKING FOR AN EXTREMELY SPECIAL HOME,
PLEASE READ HER WRITE UP IN FULL

27-09-21 Jess was found on a mountain back in July along with another dog. When she arrived with us she was very scared and very much in need of some TLC. We doubt Jess has ever experienced kind hands and loving hearts before and so we are looking for an extra special home who understands that she has never lived in a home and will need time and patience to allow her to adjust and settle and learn all about house training and home life.
When Jess arrived, she was very under the weather and after undergoing tests and bloodwork it was sadly discovered that she has cushings disease. She has been under the care of our vet for the last few months but her condition is still not under control. We are very sad that Jess has had to stay in kennels for so long, it breaks our hearts every day to see her little face peeping out of her kennel and so we think it is in her best interests to find her forever home so she can experience all that life has to offer and can spend her days snuggled on a sofa with her new family.
As Jess' condition still isn't under control, we will be looking for a very special person to adopt her who has experience of dogs with Cushings disease. We will be looking for an adopter who has the finances for all of her medical bills as this will not be covered by insurance. If her adopter was local to Many Tears we would be willing for her to come back here for vet checks with our vet free of charge until her condition has stabilised.
She relies on her canine friends for support and will need another gentle little dog in her new home who can be her friend and help her settle in and keep her company and will let her share a bed with them. She has started learning to walk on a lead and does enjoy going for a little potter around. She is very food oriented and will need to be fed seperately or she will try and eat it all!
If you can offer Jess the love and kindness she so desperately needs, please put in an application for her.
Jess's new adopters will need to agree to have her spayed once her condition is stable.

30-09-21 UPDATE

Jess has settled into her foster home very well! She is now enjoying going out for walks and exploring her surroundings, she looks to her friends when out on adventures to see what they do then follows their lead. She is really coming out of her shell and starting to show her personality, she has now found out what to do with toys and loves to choose from the toy box which one to chew on next. She is a smart girl who picks up on things quickly. In her forever home she will need a home with at least one other calm dog so she can continue learning from, also someone who has the time to help her with all that she needs. Jess is an amazing little girl that will bring so much happiness into someones life.

03-10-21 UPDATE

Jess had a little outing to the beach today, It was a little windy but she enjoyed taking in all the new smells and saying hello to other dogs. She is such a little sweetheart!

19-10-21 UPDATE

Jess is still with us waiting for that very special home. She has come so far since she first came to the rescue and as each day goes by she shows us a little bit more of her personality, she is such an easy going girl who just wants to be loved. She now asks for cuddles which is so adorable then after a long day loves nothing more than snuggling on the sofa with you. Jess is going to make the perfect companion for a very lucky family I just hope she doesn't have to wait that long for her happy ever after.

31-10-21 UPDATE

Hello my name is Jess, I though I would just reach out to you all and tell you about my journey, I have been at Many Tears for a little while now but due to my health issue I am still looking for my very special family. At the moment I am in foster, I am learning and experiencing all these new things but I'm still in search of my forever home!
When I first left Many Tears for my foster home I left in a crate which did not bother me at all however since that day I just sit with a car harness on in the seat as I am no trouble at all (Yes I am bigging myself up here)?? Well that's just a little bit about my life at the moment keep reading though there is more to come! Paws crossed my family is out there!

07-11-21 UPDATE

Hello Me again, I am still waiting for that special family of mine to come along but in the mean time..... Why didn't anyone tell me about toys!! I just love them! Chewing them to bits is my favourite thing to do, in my defence I love them so much! Tough toys for me in future.
I am just learning new things every day. Recently I had a little adventure into a shop it was such fun, all the new things to see and smell I was a very good girl so my foster mum said. Just a little info for my new family I am looking for a home with older children or an adult only home. Thanks for reading!
