If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

09-08-21 Logic has sadly been returned to us after a short adoption.  He is a confident boy who was homed as an only dog but we think this loveable, friendly and lively chap would enjoy having a female dog in his new home, although in the right circumstance he could be an only dog. Logic has a typical beagle character - very inquisative and can be stubborn but this does add to his charm.  He needs an adult only experienced and very active home. He walks on a lead and could possibly be house trained but we can't guarantee that.  Logic has some sore patches which are being treated and he should be feeling more comfortable soon.

18-09-21 UPDATE

Logic is still waiting for his perfect home! Logic has so much love to give and is very people orientated. He walks excellent on the lead, though he does pull quite a bit. We always walk him on a harness as he pulls so much that he hurts his neck/throat. Today Logic went for a long sniffy walk with a volunteer and after a quick 2 minute introduction to the lady he was jumping up and asking for love off her. She said he just couldn't get enough sniffs while out and about! I really hope Logic will have a sofa of his own soon.

30-10-21 UPDATE

Lovely Logic, I've no idea why he's still here. Logic is such a lovely boy who wants all the love he can possibly get! He's such a cheeky boy and has charmed all our regular volunteers.
Logic loves a long sniffy walk and a good run around in the yard. We are looking for a breed experienced home for Logic, who can not only provide enrichment physically but also mentally.
With or without resident dog(s), though an important note is that when he is kennelled with other dogs he has to be the centre of attention, so any resident dogs will definitely need to be okay with this guy hogging the humans attention.
Logic cannot be homed with male dogs.
Logic hasn't shown any signs of guarding at the rescue centre but he did in a home, so this must be considered and ideally any potential adopters will have experience with this.
Today I gave Logic a soft toy, initially he was scared of it, then started chewing and playing with it, and after about ten minutes I went back to check on him and he was snuggled in bed with it. It really is like he has a 'how to' guide on melting humans hearts!!

03-11-21 UPDATE

Here we have the fantastic ‘Logic’. Logic is a good boy with a waggy tail and lots of love to give. He has a lot of energy which and loves running, jumping and many passionate cuddles. He is a good boy but a cheeky boy. Curious and determined. He will be everywhere and anywhere. Make sure to keep treats out of reach or undoubtedly you will come back to an empty bag and a big belly. He walks on the lead, is as clean as we can know a dog to be here at the shelter, and a big people person. He is choosey with who he trusts in dogs so would be best going as an only dog to his new home. If you’re looking for a new companion, you need look no more. Don’t miss out on this bundle of joy! Apply now!!!

01-12-21 UPDATE

Why is Logic still waiting in kennels?
He is such a dream of a companion, loves cuddles and food more than anything, walks lovely on his harness and especially loves his duck friend. He does want to be an only dog in his new home but is fine walking past dogs out and about. He is the best character who cracks me up every day.
Someone must have a space for him beside them...

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
