15-11-21 Curly has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a nervous girl who isnr yet used to human attention and is very worried to find herself here. She is looking for a calm and quiet adult home with someone who has experience of ex-breeding dogs. She much prefers the company of other dogs at the moment so will need at least one dog in her new home that is bigger than she is to help her adjust to her new life. She has never lived in a home before so everything will be very new to her and she will need to learn all about things like house training and how to walk on a lead. With time and love she will begin to settle in and come out of her shell and it will be so worth it when you begin to gain her trust and see glimpses of the happy girl inside.

29-12-21 UPDATE
Curly started coming out to see me last week but after one of her confident kennel friends left she lost her confidence and kept running away. Today she has a new friend and she is back to her old self coming up to me with her tail wagging. When I sit down she comes straight up for some attention. Although timid and would jump away if I stand up, she loves the attention and would love a cuddle on the sofa. As she still timid she will need a home with another dog and without children. She likes her food so treat rewarding will help with her house training.  She can be a bit possessive so she needs a larger dog to live with.

26-03-22 UPDATE

Curly is the most wonderful girl, she has really come along way in her foster home and started to trust people. Curly gets along with dogs of all shapes and sizes and will snuggle up to them all. She is looking for a home where the resident dog won’t mind sharing a bed with her and her following them everywhere, and with people that will understand she is still nervous of certain situations and men.
Curly loves nothing more than her bed, her food and running with her doggy palls. Her lead walking is improving and in a secure field her recall is great, in a non secure area she will forget herself put her nose to the floor and will just run and run and run. Curly will need training on this and not be able to go off lead for some time.
Curly sleeps soundly at night and is house trained. If you are looking for a beautiful girl and can offer her a large secure garden and plenty of exercise and adventures she will smother you with kisses and make you smile.

19-04-22 UPDATE

Curly is continuing to gain confidence and will be a great addition to a family, she now comes and sits on the sofa next to us and looks very proud of her achievements. Curly can be a bit grumbly initially with other dogs but when she gets to know them they become great pals. Curly would love a big garden to run around and sniff, she loves doing zoomies and investigating. She’s a good sleeper, eater and is house trained. Curly is doing very well with her lead training.

17-05-22 UPDATE
Curly is still looking for her forever home. She would love to live somewhere with a large garden where she can do lots of running with a doggy pal and go for really long walks. Curly is very food motivated, she has a typically good spaniel nose and would probably do very well in doggy training classes. Curly is getting on well with her lead training is house trained and sleeps soundly at night. She’s been waiting to find her forever family a very long time, do you have a cocker sized space for dear Curly?

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
