If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

20-12-21 Winny has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a very friendly girl who will walk up to you. She will flinch when you first touch her, but once she realises you're not going to hurt her she will be let you stroke her. Winny absolutely loves her food and she is starting to enjoy going for walks on a harness too. Winny is starting to learn all about house training in her foster home, but her new adopters will need to continue this with her as she has never lived in a home before. Winny would be happiest with another kind resident dog in her new home to help her settle in to her new life, but this dog would need to be larger than her as she isn't too keen on dogs her size or smaller. We would consider homing her as an only dog in the right circumstances as long as her adopter was around most of the time as she doesn't like to be left alone. Winny has a passport.

30-12-21 UPDATE

Winny is still waiting on her forever home.  She is a little shy at first but comes out of herself quickly and once she knows you she will run up to you for hugs and kisses. She walks on a harness and lead and is ok with cats. She is nearly there on house training this won’t take her long. She would make a lovely companion with other dog similar size or bigger. In the right home could be an only dog.
Winny would love to spent the new year in her forever home. Could you make her wish come true.

22-01-2022 UPDATE

Unfortunately Winny's New Year wish did not come true and she found herself back in kennels. Last week she moved into a foster home, this time with larger dogs, where she has resumed her journey to becoming a loved pet.
All the recent changes have taken their toll on her and she has regressed slightly, losing some of her confidence. She is always pleased to see me, greeting me with a waggy tail and little dance, however, when I walk towards her she will run away. She will take frankfurter from my hand, but not biscuits and takes a minute or two to approach her food bowl if I am near.
She likes to snuggle in the big dog bed in the kitchen with my other foster dog and together they sleep all night without a sound. House training is coming along nicely, and although there have been a couple of accidents on the whole she will toilet in the garden. Whilst we feel she may be able to cope as an only dog, she does not like to be left and her new family will need to be aware of this. I have put a lead on her with a view to taking her out for a walk, however she just planted her feet and would not move. We will work on this and hopefully get her back out enjoying walks soon. I have seen glimpses of Winny's cheeky character and am sure it won't be long before she is back to her happy, cheeky self.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
