If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

19-12-2021 Rosa has come to us from a breeder as an unsold puppy. She is only young but she is already very scared and very overwhelmed to find herself here. Rosa is looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home with someone who has lots of time and patience to offer her as she settles in and adjusts to her new life. Rosa will need at least one other confident dog in her new home who can be her role model and help teach her all about her new life and help her learn about lead walking and house training. Rosa's new adopters will need to be understanding of her dears and gently help her come out of her shell in her own time. Rosa will need to attend puppy training classes and be spayed at 6 months old.

20-01-22 UPDATE
I’d like you all to meet a very special little lady … Rosa!
This precious soul has come to us from her breeder as an unsold puppy. She is only 8 months old but she is so scared of the world and the people in it … it’s really quite heart breaking. Normally at 8 months old, pups are full of beans and ready to take on anything life throws at them, but for Rosa it’s quite the opposite. She will run away when you try to approach her and do anything she can to get away from you, and she’s very uncomfortable being handled. This darling girl deserves to be cherished and shown that the world isn’t a scary place .. she just needs to be given a chance.
Today I sat in her kennel with her for 15 minutes or so just to get her used to me. She gave me a sniff all over (including in my eye and inside my mouth!!!), and she even tried to play a little with the string hanging from my coat. This may not sound like a lot, but when a dog is as scared as Rosa it is very rare for them to want to play in front of you .. so I think she is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel - she just needs to be shown patience.
Rosa will need a home with at least 1 kind resident dog to comfort her. She’ll need owners who have experience with ex-breeding dogs and no children or visiting children as this will be too much for her. We’re not sure what she’s like with cats as she’s not walking on a lead yet so we can’t test her. Her new owners will just need to be very understanding and caring and go at her pace, and just be patient with her .. that’s all she needs!

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
