If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

26-12-21 Whisper would really like a home with Ripple as they have always lived together. They have come to us from a breeder are both quite confident girls who already walk on leads.   They could be house trained although we can't guarantee that but is shouldn't take them long to learn if they aren't.  There does not need to be a resident dog if they are homed together but if they aren't they will need a home with another dog.  Whisper is really sweet and affectionate and  could be homed with older dog savvy children who are used to dogs of her size.

12-01-22 UPDATE
Whisper has been in foster for a little more than 48 hrs with her companion Ripple. Ripple and Whisper are young, energetic labradors who are busy and quite full on if not managed carefully. Both are learning boundaries within a home environment.
If they are to be rehomed together any potential adopter will need to be experienced with different behavioural traits as they can be polar opposites - this inevitably runs the risk of learning behaviours from one another - potential adopters will therefore need sufficient knowledge to know how they should react to different situations so it doesn’t have an adverse impact on the other.
Whisper lacks confidence so will bump against your leg she is also prone to be anxious so will jump up to you when walking or if she’s unsure in a situation.
She is a counter surfer she will also snatch food from your hands if she can - it’s important this is managed carefully to prevent tension with other dogs in the pack - for this reason regrettably she would not be suitable in a home with young children but could be rehomed where children are older and very dog savvy.
Patience, experience and lots of repetition is an absolute must. All reinforcement absolutely must be positive, rewarding the right behaviours at the right times, calm and firm. If not rehomed with Ripple, she will need an understanding canine companion of similar size or larger who is both confident and fairly laid back.
Whisper will need a lot of exercise to drain off her energy this will also help to address any behavioural problems in the home. She loves to play ball so in addition to a lot of walks she will need other stimulus to keep her mind busy.
Whisper likes to have a cuddle on the sofa so any applicant will need to be willing to provide this for her - she really does think she is smaller than she is and will demand your attention if she’s not drained any excess energy!
She’s a delightful girl and I have every confidence she will flourish and outgrow her insecurities and any mischievous traits in the right home. We are working on addressing all of these aspects here they have made incredible progress in the short time they’ve been here so will need absolute confidence this can be continued in their new home.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
