If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

28-12-21 Rosey has come to us from a breeder. She is a very scared girl who will hide behind her bed and doesn't understand what is going on yet or what her futures holds. Rosey will need an adult only home with someone who is experienced with scared ex-breeding dogs like her. She will also need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home who can be her friend, let her cuddle up to them and most importantly reassure her that everything is okay. Rosey needs to learn all about being a dog, she has never lived inside a home before so everything will be very new and overwhelming for her at first. She will need to learn all about things like toilet training as well as how to walk on a lead. With time and love she will start to come out of her shell and it will be so rewarding to witness her reach new milestones for the first time like seeing her tail wag for the first time or when she first takes a treat from your hand.

19-01-22 UPDATE
Rosey has blossomed into a lovely little girl. Such a transformation in just 7 days!!
She arrived really shut down and stayed in her bed watching all that was going on. Her confidence has grown no end as she follows directions from the other dogs here.
Rosey will now run around the house, up and down stairs, in and out of the garden and loves her toys. She has yet to learn how to ask to go outside for a wee but when put outside she will go. Rosey is super friendly with all other dogs she has met but is super scared of us humans. She will run and hide and if she needs to be picked up, she needs to be cornered. Saying that she is not aggressive in any way. I have started to offer her chicken out of my hand and she has nibbled at it a couple of times and then ran away, so there is progress, but gaining her trust will be slow.
Rosey has had some teeth removed and is a slow eater so for this reason she is fed on her own at the moment. She sleeps on my bed and is happy to have her back stroked when she cant see me and enjoys this new experience. She does not like a harness being put on but tolerates it when its on. She does not like the lead, tries to chew it and is, at the moment, wondering why i am following her. Lead walking is ongoing training and with patience im sure this will be achieved.
Rosey would like a forever home with another small dog/dogs of similar age that she can be friends with, play with and snuggle up to.
Rosey is just lovely, quirky little dog and will make a lovely addition to any home.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
