If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

27-03-22 Oren is a pretty little crossbreed who originally came to us come from Romania. In Romania as a pup she was bought and put on a chain that was about a meter long in the backyard. The owners quickly lost interest and when she was eventually collected by her rescuer, there wasnt any food, water or shelter in that yard. Safely in the UK she found a home but has been returned to us as her adopters felt they were not the right home for her. Oren is a very sweet and loving dog, and was super affectionate with her adopters, eager to please and easy to train. She is now house trained and is getting good at basic commands and lead walking (which she had never done before). She’s very motivated by treats and loves playing with toys. Oren has shown nervous aggression towards visitors to the house so she will need an understanding adult only home without visiting children. She can also said be reactive and unpredictable with other dogs which we will asses here. Oren can be homed as an only dog or she could be homed with another dog if it was the correct match and her adopters were experienced and willing to work on this. Her new owners will need to continue her previous adopters work on her reactivity on the lead to dogs, and scary things like bicycles. Oren prefers walks in the quiet open countryside rather than in built up areas so a quiet rural home would be perfect for her where she can chill out at home and go for lovely coutryside walks.
Oren has had a difficult start to life and if you think you can help her settle and realise shes safe please apply.
Oren has passed her cat test. She has a passport and clean brucellosis test.

13-05-22 UPDATE

Oren can be reactive to people she doesn't know, but once she knows you she loves you and is so sweet and affectionate and totally people focussed. She is looking for an adult only home, with no children or visiting children and with someone who has previous experience with dogs similar to Oren.
Oren walks wonderfully on a lead and isn't too worried by passing cars, although our roads are very quiet and a busier area may worry her. She has made good friends with many staff members who adore her. She isn't too worried
She is kennelled here with Charlie and gets along really well with him but can be reactive with other dogs so if she was homed with another dog it would need to be the right match and her adopters would need to be experienced. She would be best suited to a home as an only dog as long as her adopter was around most of the time.

30-06-22 UPDATE
Oren has been waiting for so long now, she really deserves her best home. Being here in a noisy kennel environment around so many other dogs is not helping her reactivity towards dogs, and she really just needs someone who can devote so much time and love to her. Aside from her reactivity she is the most perfect lady. She loves cuddles and really all she wants is long quiet walks with intervals for cuddles! And a warm sofa to cosy up on afterwards.

08-08-22 UPDATE
Oren is still in kennels, waiting, playing, eating, walking, sleeping and waiting some more. She also does some modelling on the side, with a face like that, how could she not?

Oren does need a specific home, but once she finds her perfect match, I know she'll be the funniest, sassiest and bestest entertainment for her new family.
Her needs are as follows;
? Cat and small furrie free home
? No children
? Experienced dog owners
? Active human/s (happy to walk minimum an hour a day at a good pace)
? Rural area
? Could live as only or with playful resident dog.

All of these things are to set her up to succeed and stay in her new home forever, as she has already been let down so much by humans in her rather short life. There is the right home for her out there, and hopefully they will find her very soon. She really has done enough waiting now.

04-09-22 UPDATE

Oren is still entertaining us here at the rescue daily. She absolutely loves her new play yard and I often find her chilling in this little tunnel.

21-09-22 UPDATE

Oren is such a sweet girl looking for a forever home, she gets on amazingly with the staff and has so much excitement when it comes to playing whether with the staff or her kennel friends. Once she knows you she is so happy to be with you, but she is very nervous of strangers and other dogs on lead and can be reactive out of fear. She is such a sweetheart to anyone willing to put in the time and effort with her. Oren's forever home would be cat and children free, somewhere peaceful and with someone who is active and caring. If you could provide this please get in touch as she's almost spent six months of her life with us and. it's such a shame for a dog as sweet as Oren.
