16-04-22 Buddy orignally arrived at Many Tears in February 2022 following a marriage break up, he was adopted but sadly been returned.  Buddy is quite an anxious boy who is house trained, walks on a lead but does pull and although he's keen to go out for a walk does become anxious when out and will bark at other dogs. Buddy suffers from separation anxiety and as his new owners worked some of the time he became very distressed even when he was left with a canine friend. He can be diverted for short periods with a licky mat or chew but he needs an experiened home with adopters who are around most of the time and able to work with him on this. In the home Buddy does relax and loves to be made a fuss of. He is looking for a experienced adult only home in a rural location and where there are no visiting children, other dogs, cats or small furries. Buddy would need at least one other confident dog in his new home.

25-04-22 UPDATE
Buddy is a very happy boy with bundles of energy and the smiliest face around! He has previously lived in homes before so is very fond of people and gets so excited when he sees you in the mornings, and every other time throughout the day.
He’s a complex little lad that is very intuitive and loves a fuss, but also loves to spend some time wombling away from people and spending time with his canine friends.
Buddy loves to play, go on walks, and pretty much anything else that would keep him occupied. Buddy walks perfectly on a lead, but lacks stamina, so can go for a few blocks, but he’s not on track to run a marathon anytime soon.
Buddy has been flittered from home to home and is now looking for the perfect place to spend the rest of his life in, and for this reason we are quite specific about where we would like him to go. His new owners should live in an adult only home, and preferable without any young visiting children. He could either be an only dog, or homed with another dog. Buddy is a lovely boy and it’s time for him to find the perfect forever home.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
