If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

09-04-2022 Chuck has come to us from Romania.  His owners moved and left Chuck tied in the yard. He is a super excitable young boy who absolutely loves people and being the centre of attention, although he is very headstrong and will need an experienced, adult only home.  Chuck is an active   boy who lives life to the full so he is going to need an active home who gives him plenty of exercise and lots to do so he doesn't get bored.  He would benefit from a home with another dog who is as active as him but in the right circumstances we would consider homing him as an only dog.  Chuck is a super boy who needs owners who really will put in the time and effort to give him some training.  He will need to learn about house training and lead walking.  Chuck has a passport and has been brucella tested.

16-05-22 UPDATE

This huge character in a tiny body is Chuck. Chuck is a boy who knows his own mind and lets you know how he feels about things, he does not like being picked up or moved around by people's hands (I.e. trying to manoeuvre him with your hands). This is easy to avoid as he is good as gold on his lead, but for this reason he is looking for a confident person with no children or visiting children.
He loves a fuss and a cuddle, but all on his terms. He's a dude, the funniest little boy who will make you laugh with his antics, but you just know how to handle him.
He has a kennel friend here but he could very easily be an only dog. He also doesn't like sharing his food with other dogs, so he is always fed separately and that will need to continue in his new home. Someone is going to have an awesome partner in crime in this guy.

28-06-22 UPDATE

The absolute legend that is Chuck!!
This boy has so much character, I'm surprised it manages to all fit in his tiny body!
He walks on a lead, loves to play with his kennel friends, loves fuss from everyone he deems fit to give it to him. He is just an absolute joy to look after.
But... saying that, he does have some quirks, he does not like being picked up, or manoeuvred with your hands etc.
He let's you know how he feels about thing and what he doesn't want you to do, which I think is totally understandable considering his background and how he must have been treated by humans before he came to us.
He definitely requires an experienced home that will be able to read him and slowly gain his trust to the point that they can do things with him, like handling at the vet etc.
I've worked with him since he came in and he now does allow me to pick him up, but this has taken months of bonding to reach that point, so it's not a quick thing. He does love to jump on your lap of his own accord though
I don't allow him to stay there as I don't want him to learn habits that may put his new owners in a situation they don't feel comfortable with at first. If he does jump on my lap, I just slowly stand up so that he just gently gets down without any pushing or picking up.
He would cuddle people for hours if he could, he just can't get enough of the snuggles.
He could be an only dog, but he LOVES his kennel friends so much. He also needs to go to an adult only home and he does need to be fed separate from other dogs.
Please read his profile carefully and apply if you want a sassy partner in life.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
