If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

15-04-2022 Siggy is one of 4 puppies rescued form a kill shelter in Romanian.  They may be siblings but we can't be sure.  Siggy is will need another dog in his new home as he is extremely worried about us and runs and hides when approached.  He needs an experienced, calm and quiet adult only home where there is at least one other dog to boost his confidence and this will help him to learn about house training and lead walking but these are things that may take him a little while to pick up due to his fear.  Although he is a puppy Siggy is going to need a special home and in time and with love and patience he will become a lovely and boy to have in your home.  Siggy has a passport and clear brucella test. He cannot live with cats.

05-05-22 UPDATE

Lovely Siggy, since arriving he has really come out of his shell. He now approaches for fusses and is very very happy to have all the love in the world, with someone he trusts in a familiar environment. He is such a cuddly and special pup, with so so much love to offer.
Today I took Siggy for a walk and he spent the whole time desperate to walk up against his kennel friend, and wasn't as keen on cuddles and fusses, he was more worried about what was going on around him. He was especially scared of cars passing, even if they passed slowly.
Even though he's a happy confident boy with us in his kennel and yard, after seeing him out on a walk I think Siggy may go a million miles backwards when taken into a home, as it will all be totally new again for him and his people will need lots of patience to let him come out of himself at his own pace.
I think Siggy needs an adult only home, as children may worry him a bit too much. He ideally needs somewhere rural, or somewhere where his people are willing to drive him for rural walks. He is the type of dog that will not need to be pushed, everything will need to be introduced and socialised and done at his pace. He will get there, just from seeing how far he's come in kennels where he's comfortable, but it is important that his people are understanding of this.
Siggy definitely needs another dog to show him the ropes, he really depends on his kennel friend for confidence, and will not even leave the kennel without his friend. He also loves to play the day away with his friend too! Siggy cannot live with cats.

30-06-22 UPDATE
Siggy Siggy Siggy. An absolute angel. I love Siggy with my whole heart and really really can't understand why he is getting so overlooked. He is just a large puppy who wants cuddles and playtime literally 24/7. As he is just a baby, and had a difficult start, he is quite nervous of some things, but with time and love he overcomes his fears and I can just imagine the well rounded beautiful man he will become with the right input. He walks well on the lead and has been going out with volunteers, and loves playing with his kennel friends. He would absolutely love a super playful resident dog who can match his playfulness. Siggy does have to be fed seperate, and seperated before food comes out, but I really believe that once he sees that things aren't going to get took off him this will definitely improve.
I hope someone will see Siggys beauty and apply for him soon.

02-08-22 UPDATE

It is absolutely heartbreaking that we have watched and continue to watch such a gorgeous pup like Siggy grow bigger and older in kennels. Siggy is such an angel with so so so much love to give to us humans. Siggy still needs a resident dog as he won't go for walks without being able to see another dog near, and he will learn and copy house manners from a resident dog too. He obviously has his worries, but once he knows you his whole world revolves around you (and food of course!) We feed Siggy seperate here, as he wants all of the food in the whole world to be his and only his! It breaks my heart that Siggy keeps getting overlooked, when all I see is a stunning overgrown pup who has never even been given a chance. This week Siggy went out with a volunteer and when they were sat around the front of the rescue, where all the hustle and bustle happens, he wanted to meet everyone! Super playful, super loving, and super elegant boy, I hope someone will come forward and apply soon, before he's fully grown at least.

08-08-22 UPDATE

Today was my first day meeting Siggy and upon arriving at his kennel I found him with 2 other dogs having a play. When I first got him on the lead to take him for a walk he was excited but a bit nervous but after about 5-10 minutes he was noticeably more comfortable with me, walking behind me not pulling on the lead at all. We crossed paths with other dogs also on leads and Siggy didn’t react. He’s loving, caring and in need of a good home with other dogs. He does stop whilst on the walk for 2 minutes but just be patient and he will continue along with you.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
