If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

24-04-2022 Payton has come to us from a breeder and although her passport says she is a cavapoo we believe she is actually a cavalier x cocker spaniel.  She is very worried and shy at the moment will need an adult only, calm and quiet home with at least one other dog who will allow her to snuggle up with them for comfort and support.  As Payton has never lived in a home before she will need to learn about house training and lead walking and this may take her a little time to learn as the garden may be as scary as the house at first, but with adopters  who have the time, love and patience to dedicate to her, Payton will gradually start to love her new life and become a wonderful friend.  Payton has a passport.

26-05-2022 UPDATE
Payton has sadly been returned after a short adoption as she is could not settle in the adoptive home.  She is still a very nervous girl so is going to need a home with adopters who are experienced with scared dogs and who have a secure garden.  Payton needs to learn to trust people and will defintiely NEED at least one kind dog already in the home. Her adopters will need to have plenty of time and patience to help her settle into her new life and learn that lving with people can be great.

22-08-22 UPDATE

Payton has been here in her foster home for about 6 weeks now. She is a very worried little girlie who has had a bit of a scary time of it in the past. When Payton first arrived she showed herself to be very agoraphobic (see video with sound on). She has very slowly gained some confidence and it has been a joy to see her starting to run and play out in my secure field (see 2nd video). Having good, supportive canine company has been instrumental and vital in this.
Payton is a sweet, gentle soul and doing well in many respects. She is house trained (but will wet herself from fear at times) She travels well in the car and sleeps peacefully all night through in the family bedroom (this has helped her to feel a little easier about having the 'scary' human (myself) in close proximity !!)
Payton will NEED a home with adopters who are experienced with scared dogs.
She will NEED a home with several kind friendly dogs who will help her continue her journey to confidence. She is only young and enjoys playing (when she forgets herself) so her new doggie friends will need to have a playful side to them too.
She will also NEED access to a secure field (similar to what she has now) in order for her to be able to run around and let off steam in safe environment.
In time, and the right circumstances, this beautiful soul will blossom. She will become the confident happy young lady she is already (inwardly) and is striving hard to show outwardly.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
