If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

03-05-22 Dart has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a lovely girl but is quite nervous at the moment and so would benefit from a calm and quite adult only home with someone who has experience with nervous dogs. With time and love, Dart will start to settle in and begin to come out of her shell and let her sweet personality shine through. Dart will need another kind and confident dog in her new home to be her friend and help her to adjust to her new life. She has never lived in a home before and so her adopters will need to be kind and patient as she learns all about home life and new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. She is very sweet and hopefully it won't take her too long to discover the sofa and the softest dog beds and find where the tastiest treats are kept.

22-05-22 UPDATE
Wow what a difference a week has made to this beautiful girl. When she came into foster last Sunday she was very stressed, paced about and just could not settle. Monday started the same but as I got the leads out to take some of the dogs for a walk Dart came up to me and nudged me, when I got home I got the slip lead out and Dart came up to me and let me put it on her, we went for a little walk round the close, she was a little worried about noises but did not try to bolt and walked beautifully, we go further now and she does so well, she doesn’t  like to pass people and just hides behind me until they pass. She lets me groom her while on the lead, I do that first then we have the treat of the walk. She gets on with all the dogs here and has started to play and run, not a lot but it is all building up, she is also showing excitement when I am getting their food ready. She sleeps quietly down stairs with the other dogs at night.

15-06-22 UPDATE

Dart is such a lovely dog, she gets on with all my dogs large and small. She is still worried about people but is fine with me. I have bathed her and she lets me groom her, she gets excited when I get the leads out but is still unsure of things when out for a walk. She loves to play with my Labradoodle so would love a playful friend in her new home.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
