25-05-22 Sagey is a beautiful girl who has come to us from her breeder to find a loving home. She has an overbite but manages well with this. She is inquisitive and excitable from the safety of her kennel but if you go in with her she will dash away and hide as she isnt too sure what to do. When with her kennel friends we see her full potential and she will need at least one kind resident dog to show her all about home life and let her copy new skills like house training that she has never needed before. Sagey needs an understanding home where any children are older and who have the time she needs for her to start to otrust and bond with people. Everything will be all new to her and she wont understand everything all at once so she needs plenty of patience to help her settle and begin to shine.

13-06-22 UPDATE
My lovely girl Sagey .. what can I say about her!? She has the biggest character and I’m really hoping she won’t have to wait long to find that special someone!! I know some may not think she’s the prettiest girl in the world, but when you get to know her you’ll realise how beautiful she is on the inside .. and that’s all that matters right?
She’s a very happy and waggy girl who is trying so incredibly hard to be brave. She’ll run up to me and give me lots of kisses, then run away, then decide it was actually okay, so then she comes back. She has also just recently started to accept a gentle fuss under her ears, and she’s learning quickly that I’m not going to hurt her and that it’s actually quite an enjoyable experience! I don’t think it will take her long to fully come out of her shell in the right home, and when she does look out!
Sagey would like a home with a resident dog to play with and snuggle up to, any children would be at least teenage age, and I can try and do a cat test on her but she’s not walking on a lead yet so I’m not sure how accurate it would be. Her new owners will need to be very patient with her, and understand that she’s never been in a home before so everything will be completely brand new for her. They’ll have to take things slow with her, give her gentle guidance, and support her when she needs it. This girl can make you genuinely laugh out loud even on the worst days, and I just know she’s going to make a super companion once she settles.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
