01-06-2022 Snickers has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a scared girl who tries her best to avoid you but once you have her in your arms she does settle.  Everything is very new and scary for her at the moment but with time and love she will start to grow in confidence. Snickers will need a calm and quiet adult only home with another kind resident dog or dogs  to be her friend and help her to settle in to her new life. She has never lived in a home before and so this will all be quite overwhelming at first and she will need to learn new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. These are things that may take her a while to pick up as the garden may be as scary as the home at first.  Lead walking needs to start in the home and garden and she must be double leaded when she first start to walk in the outside world.  She is a lost little soul who deserves the very best home where she will be showered with love and understanding.  In time she will return this with a little heart that is full of love for you.

01-06-22 UPDATE
I’ve been working with this lovely lady for more or less the whole time she’s been with us, so she’s definitely wriggled her way into my heart!! She is still a very nervous and timid girl, but she lets you pick her up and handle her with no problems at all. In general, she’s a happy lady who likes having a routine.
With me, she goes out into the big yard which is full of sand and toys 3 times a day and she absolutely loves it - however, she does settle in her kennel really well too. I think she’d really appreciate a home with a garden to call her own so she can explore and play when she pleases.
Snickers does show interest in toys although she’s not quite sure, but I think she’ll get there soon. Yesterday I treated her to a pamper day and gave her a relaxing bath, and then I shaved some of her coat off as she had some mats underneath her armpits. She was so well behaved and I was incredibly proud of her .. doesn’t she look cute!?
Snickers will still need a home with a resident dog to show her the ropes as she’s never been inside a home before and everything will probably be a bit overwhelming for her. She’ll need to learn the basics such as house training and lead walking, and having a doggy friend to follow around and copy will do her the world of good. She just needs people who will not give up on her, who will give her the gentle guidance and reassurance that she needs, and who will love and cherish her the way she deserves. She’s spent her whole life not knowing love or fun, so now I think it’s time she got her happy ever after. Please don’t keep her waiting too long!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
