If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

01-06-2022 Seth is an extremely scared boy who has come to us from a breeder.  He needs a special home who have had scared dogs before as Seth knows nothing about love and kindness and needs to be handled with care.  He will need a calm and quiet adult only home with at least one kind resident dog to be his friend who will help him overcome his fears.  Sprocket has never even seen the inside of a home before and so this will be overwhelming at first and he will need to learn new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. These are things that will take him a little time to learn as the garden will be as scary for him as the inside of the home so Seth needs adopters who really understand and have the time, love and patience to help him.  He will need to learn how to walk on a lead and this will need to start in the garden to make sure he is happy to wear a harness with a lead attached before venturing out in the world.  Seth needs very special adopters who understand his fears and are prepared to work with him to overcome them and ear his trust.

04-06-22 UPDATE
Seth was very difficult to handle when he first arrived as he was so terrified.  He is getting braver every day and is the one at the back of the kennel but you can see he is now wagging and happy to see us but still very cautious but also intrigued and will come for a sniff! He's got a long way to go yet but the difference in such a short time is wonderful and we can’t wait for Seth to progress even more in a new home.

17-06-22 UPDATE
I’ve been working with Seth since he arrived and I’m so happy to say his confidence is improving more and more each day. He gets so excited to see me now every time I go into his kennel and has learnt how to do the biggest smile I have ever seen. He is also a lot better at being handled now, so today I started harness training with him. I only put the harness on and let him wear it for the day to get him used to it, but he was a very good boy at letting me put it on him and take it off. I’ll take baby steps with him in the next few days, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to get him walking by this time next week!
Seth absolutely adores his Cocker friend and is always snuggled up in bed with her, so I’d really like to find him a home with a resident dog who will also let him snuggle with them. Having a doggy friend to follow around and copy will also be a real comfort blanket for him in his new home.
His new owners will still need to take things very slow with him as I imagine he’ll be very overwhelmed when he does get home, but just give him time and be patient with him and he will thrive. He’s a very special boy who just needs a home with people who understand his worries .. could it be with you!?

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
