If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

09-11-22 Tilly originally came to us from a breeder and was adopted but has been returned to our care as she is a nervous girl and snapped at a visiting young child as she found them overwhelming. She has gone straight to a foster home and is settling in really well. Tilly is looking for an adult only home, where there are no visiting children and would benefit from a home with someone who had experience of scared ex-breeding dogs. She will need another kind and confident dog in her new home to help her to settle in and to be her friend.

Tilly has settled in very well here. She gets on well with our three dogs, a Cocker Spaniel and two Bichons. She doesn't know what a dog bed is yet so they all get on the sofa and have a cuddle.
She walks well on a lead and meets dogs well but is unsure about the larger dogs and seems worried about them. For this reason she would be prefer to live with a small dog or two, and she will need an adult only home, as children would overwhelm her.
Tilly is almost there with her house training and sleeps quietly all night in the kitchen with our dogs.
Her character is just starting to come out. She is such a brave little girl and I can not fault her at all.
Tilly hasn't had a great start to life but deserves the best life possible starting now.

16-11-22 UPDATE

Tilly hasn't been with us for long but is growing in confidence every day. She loves her walks in the park and on the beach. She is now more confident meeting larger dogs but would still like to live with a small dog or two that would be happy for her to cuddle up to. She now knows what a dog bed is, so she no longer sleeps on the floor but she still prefers the sofa!
Her toilet training has gone well and we haven't had ANY accident's for a while now. She has met children when out but doesn't seem to take notice of them, but would like an adult only home as children may overwhelm her. She is happy to see any visitors and has been a darling of a dog to look after.
Tilly sleeps quite in the kitchen with our three dogs all night, loves her food.  She is not a barker and loves her cuddles from us and our dogs. She now needs a loving family and a home to call her own.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
