If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

05-07-2022 Borneo is a little delight.  She has come to us from a breeder and is a little shy around us but very waggy and happy when she is with the other dogs in her kennel. Borneo is easy to handle and once she know you are going to be kind she leans into your for a cuddle.  She has dry eye in her left eye which she will require drops for daily, adopters need to take the cost of this into account as it would not be covered on insurance. Borneo would like a home where there is at least one other dog to be her friend and who is happy to allow her to cuddle up with them for comfort and support if she wants to.    She will watch them and start to copy what they do and which will help her learn new skills like house training and lead walking. With adopters who have plenty of time, love and patience Borneo will become a wonderful friend and companion. Borneo has a passport.

10-08-22 UPDATE
I am completely and utterly in love with this girl and I cannot believe she is still here! Borneo is one of the sweetest girls I have ever worked with and I just know she is going to make somebody SO happy. She has made a lot of progress since she arrived and is now a very happy and waggy girl who is learning to enjoy a fuss. She will approach me for a little scratch under her ear, and sometimes she will give me a kiss in return .. but only if I’m lucky!! She’s a very submissive girl so will drop to the floor and/or roll over when you go to handle her, but this is something that will hopefully change in time. She obviously still feels a little threatened when it comes to human touch, so her new adopters will need to be aware of this and go slow with her. She has no malice in her whatsoever and she is very easy to pick up and handle, she just gets a little scared and freezes, bless her.
Borneo will still need a resident dog in her new home to follow around and to copy. She’ll need to learn all the basics such as house training and lead walking, and having a doggy friend to learn from will do her the world of good. She will probably find home living quite overwhelming at first because everything will be completely brand new for her, but her new owners will need to understand this and be patient with her. Little things that are normal to most dogs such as the TV or even stairs, may take a little while for her to get used to. Just don’t give up on her .. she will get there.
Borneo has spent her whole life in a kennel environment and I’m keeping everything crossed that someone will come and rescue her soon. Just imagine spending your whole life not knowing any love or kindness .. it just breaks my heart. Please don’t keep her waiting much longer.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
