06-07-2022 Jason is a very handsome but nervous boy who has come to us from a breeder.  When he was booked in he was very frightened and would panic, but since he has settled in he has become a lovely, calm boy. He is a larger miniature poodle at 13kg.  Jason will need a calm and quiet adult only home where there are no children or visiting children and where there is at least one kind resident dog to be his friend and guide him about how to live in a home with humans who will love him.  He  has never even seen the inside of a home before and so this will be overwhelming at first and he will need to learn new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. These are things that may take him a little time to get the hang of as he has never had to learn these before and the garden may be as scary for him and the inside of the home. Jason needs adopters who really understand and have the time, love and patience to help him discover the joys that his new life will bring.  Lead walking will need to start in the garden to make sure he is comfortable wearing a harness and lead before venturing out in the world.  Jason really needs that extra special person who can see the potential he has to become a wonder friend.  He has a passport

31-07-22 UPDATE
I met Jason recently and was expecting to meet a reserved, nervous boy but was delighted to find that Jason has come on leaps and bounds and is the most affectionate little dog ever! He was the first out of his kennel friends to approach me and put his paws on my knee to get closer and give me a kiss! He is happy around us humans and loves a fuss but would probably be better living with another dog as he does have more confidence around then and this is soo he has ever know. Jason is learning to walk on a harness and loves to play with his friends, he really is a great little dog!

I put some new toys in the play yard today Jason really enjoyed playing with them

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
