If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

09-07-22 Kelly is a very pretty cavachon girl who has come to us from a breeder.  She has more of a caverlier coat than a poodle so she will moult.  Kelly enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to play with them.  She will approach us but as soon as you reach out to touch her she runs away but does relax once in your arms.    Kelly has arrived here with an area on on her chest which may just be a fatty lump but out vet will have a look at this.  She is a gentle soul who needs an adult only home where there is at least one other dog to be her friend.  Kelly will watch them and then start to copy what they do which will help her with house training and lead walking.  In time and with owners who have plenty of love and patience Kelly with start to transform and she will repay you love and kindness tenfold.

10-08-22 UPDATE
I’ve been working with Kelly since she arrived and she’s making more and more progress each day. She is still a very nervous girl who will run away when I go to pick her up, but she is approaching me for sniffs a lot more now than she used to. She’s very reliant on her kennel friends and you’ll rarely see her without them. She’s always cuddled up in bed with them or running around with them in the sandschool .. I think she definitely gets a lot of her confidence from them. She is still really hand shy so will flinch or run away when I go to stroke her, but that’s to be expected and it will come in time. Her new owners will just need to understand that she’s not going to be a lovey dovey dog at first, simply because she still doesn’t know that human touch is not a bad thing. Again, that will come in time!
Kelly will still need a resident dog in her new home to follow around and to copy. She’ll need to learn all the basics such as house training and lead walking, and having a doggy friend to learn from will do her the world of good. She will probably find home living quite overwhelming at first because everything will be completely brand new for her, but her new owners will need to understand this and be patient with her. Little things that are normal to most dogs such as the TV or even stairs, may take a little while for her to get used to. Just don’t give up on her .. she will get there.
She has spent her whole life in a kennel environment and I’m keeping everything crossed that someone will come and rescue her soon. Just imagine spending your whole life not knowing any love or kindness .. it just breaks my heart. Please don’t keep her waiting much longer.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
