If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

12-07-22 Dee Dee is a worried girl who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. This girl is in need of lots of TLC and kindness. She is terrified and needs gentle reassurance. Dee Dee needs at least one kind resident dog in her new home to be her friend and help boost her confidence. She doesnt understand what we want with her and cannot work out why we would approach her and she will bolt away and hide from us. If cornered she could easily panic and so she will need an experienced adopter with infinite patience and a very secure home and garden. She needs an adult home without any children or visiting children. She is a sweet girl who has no idea how lovely her life will be but in time, with masses of patience and encouragement she will begin to bloom.

23-07-22 UPDATE
I thought you’d all like to see DeeDee’s lovely new hair cut .. doesn’t she look beautiful!? She’s definitely feeling a lot better after having all of those mats shaved off her! She is doing well with me and her confidence has definitely improved since arriving. She is generally a very happy girl who always has a waggy tail and loves playing with her kennel friends. She will happily approach me to give me lots of kisses on my fingers, but she is still very worried about being handled. The first time I had to pick her up she freaked out so much, it was probably one of the worst cases I’ve seen - and I work with a lot of the terrified little dogs. I have been working with her on this slowly and she has gotten a lot better, but she does still have a long way to go. Patience and gentle guidance is what this precious girl needs, and for someone to not give up on her. She’s obviously not had a lot of human contact in her life so she’s not going to transform overnight, but she will get there eventually, I know she will. I adore this girl and I will continue to do everything in my power to make sure she’s happy and content, and try my best to prove to her that she doesn’t need to be afraid of my touch. Slow and steady wins the race!

14-08-22 UPDATE
DeeDee has stolen my heart in every way possible and I don’t think I’ve ever been more proud of a dog. As most of you know, when she came in she was absolutely terrified and one of the most difficult dogs I’ve ever handled. The thought of being picked up or even touched was completely horrifying to her and she would do literally everything she could to get away from me. She’s now been with me for 3 weeks and she has blossomed into the happiest and waggiest girl who is so full of life and love. Every time I look at her she smiles and starts wagging her tail immediately. She’ll come running up to me as soon as I go into her kennel, or when I call her when she’s in the sandschool. She gives me endless amounts of kisses, she plays with me and she takes food from my hand.
While she is still quite flighty if I need to pick her up, she is 100 times better than she was and I don’t have to use a blanket anymore. I’m taking small steps to get her used to being handled, but she’s already made more progress than I could have ever imagined.
DeeDee will still need a very patient and understanding home with at least 1 kind and confident resident dog who she can play with and cuddle with. Of course she’s never been inside a home before so everything will be completely brand new to her and she will more than likely regress at first, but as long as her new owners expect this and prepare for it, they’ll be fine.
She’ll need to learn all the basics such as house training and lead walking, but having a doggy friend there to follow around and copy will really help her with these things! She’s an extremely special girl and whoever adopts her are just going to be the luckiest people in the world … believe me.

Deedee has been in foster for a week and we all love her personality.she has taken it all in her stride and is running around with a waggy tail and embracing everything home life has to offer .
She is inquisitive, fun and loves her food so will happily come over and take treats . Currently living with 8 other dogs and is just a very polite well mannered girl who loves her doggie pals
Deedee is a really special girl and when she learns to accept human hands are kind there will be no stopping her . Deedee  is scared of our hands and will avoid them so we are working on that.

25-09-22 UPDATE

DeeDee has been in foster for a month and is very happy with home life. Her personality is infectious and she makes you smile!
  • Clean in home
  • Shares all her food and beds with her pals
  • Is always so happy and goofy
  • Loves to give us kisses and licks
  • Sleeps all night in kitchen
  • Can be left for a few hours
  • Loves to do puzzles and plays with toys

DeeDee really does still struggle with being touched but it does not effect her day to day life, in fact she is one of the easiest dogs I have welcomed into our home and she really does love human contact and attention but on her terms.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
