29-07-22 Amelia is a beautiful cocker who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She is a sweet girl who is most confident when she is with her kennel friends. When we approach her kennel she will trot over, wagging and is curious enough to check us out and snuff us. When on her on she is much more worried and isnt sure what she should do. Amelie is more comfortable being near to women than she is men at the moment and our fabulous, gentle male staff will be working with her at a gentle pace to show her that they are friends. She would benefit from a kind dog in her new home to show her home skills such as house training, walking on a lead and help her get used to the sights and sounds of home, but she has come on so well since arriving we would consider homing her as an only dog. Amelia is a senstive, sweet girl who could be rehomed with calm older children who will respect her need for space and not push her. She is a darling but she needs some time and TLC

12-08-22 UPDATE
I’ve been working with this absolute darling for just over a week now and I am besotted with her!!! She is the most gentle, loving and affectionate little girl who just wants loves all the time. She absolutely adores having a fuss and will nudge in closer to you every time you stop.
Every time I go into her kennel she jumps out of bed immediately and comes over to see me for a cuddle - I just love her!! Her love for humans has come on so well I now think she’d be fine being homed as an only dog, just as long as her new owners are there with her most of the time. I think she’d also really love to snuggle on the sofa with them once she’s settled, so this must be allowed.
Amelia has learnt to walk on a lead now too, although she can be a little bit timid, her new owners will just need to keep practicing with her! She is an absolute star and whoever adopts her are going to be soooooo lucky .. believe me!!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
