If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

29-07-2022 Rosana has come to us from a breeder.  She walks a little on the lead but is anxious about it so needs a little more practise and encouragement.  Rosana has had an entropion repair on her lower eye lid to prevent her eyelashes rubbing her eyes but she may need surgery on her upper  eyelids in the future. She is on eye drops and will probably always need these to ensure her eyes are lubricated and comfortable.
She is a happy and waggy girl when she is with her kennel friends and as she has never lived in a home before Rosana will need at least one other dog in her new home to help her settle.  This will help her to learn about house training and give her more confidence on lead walks as she will watch them and copy what they do.  With adopters who have time, love and patience Rosana will become a happy and loving little dog to have in their life. Rosana has a Grade 1 heart murmur, she doesn't require any medication for this but it is something her adopter and their vet will need to monitor.

09-09-22 UPDATE
Stunning Rosana has lingered on in kennels far too long. She's an amazing little girl who's developed wonderfully since first arriving at the rescue but is long overdue to take the next step and finally settle into a home of her own.
Each morning Rosana meets me with pleading eyes and a waggy tail, excited to go out in the sandschool to sniff and run around. She can be a bit nervous when approached but will usually come up to you and allow you to put the lead on her with no trouble at all, and she is a delight on the lead.
She really enjoys her walks, it's a kind of joy that she probably hasn't been able to experience before coming here. She loves to get her nose into everything she passes and take in all the new sights and sounds with great keenness and wonder.
If you're looking to give a beautiful dog the loving, caring home that she deserves, please consider applying for Rosana. Prospective adopters must be aware however that she may need additional surgery to her eyes, and must wait for her to have the operation before a meet&greet can be arranged.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
