18-08-22 Edgar is a super handsome and super confident Old Thyme Bulldog who has come from his breeder to find a loving home. This boy knows what he wants in life and is looking for a home where he can have all the attention to himself! He walks on a lead but he is very strong and needs some further training and will need a home where you are experienced and physically able to manage this. Edgar doesnt get along well with other male dogs and so would very much prefer a home where he can be the only dog. He walks past other dogs here with no problems, he just doesnt want to share a space with them. Edgar is loving, keen, busy and has a hundreds reasons as to why he would make someone incredibly happy... he just needs an experienced adopter in an adult home who can get the very best of this wonderful lad.

21-08-22 UPDATE
Since Edgar arrived on Tuesday I've been looking after and getting to know him. What an absolute star he is! So so so amazing. Edgar loves his food, loves his cuddles, lovvvves his walks! He is totally toilet clean in his kennel, and loves playing with his ball!
Edgar can be very strong with excitement initially but once he gets going he walks like a dream, and he is learning super quickly to stay close and not pull.
I can see this guy being the BEST comedic cuddly playful companion in a home. I so so so hope he won't be waiting too long!!
Edgar's requirements for his perfect home:

• Only dog
• No cats or small furries
• Strong human(s) to handle if he does pull from excitement
• His own garden to play in, where no other dogs will be around
• Humans that can give him the love that he has never felt before

My darling Edgar … I wish I could tell you why you’re still here, but I honestly have no idea. You make me smile every day with your goofiness, your cuddles and your adoration for life. You’re going to make somebody the best companion and they’re going to feel so lucky to have you, I just know it.
From my perspective, Edgar’s only issue is how strong he is on the lead. He’s not protective over his food or toys, he’s extremely affectionate and loves to give kisses, he doesn’t mess his beds up, he’s non-reactive towards other dogs, he loves everyone he meets .. the list could go on and on. He’s a pleasure to look after and he really is no bother at all. I can’t wait to see pictures of him cuddled up on a sofa in his new home with his new humans, just because I know how much he’s going to absolutely love it. So please don’t keep him waiting too long!!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
