31-08-22 Fable is a sweet boy who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. He is worried around people and seeks out the company and comfort of other dogs. When with his kennel friends he will walk on a lead and will tentatively approach you to check you out but when by himself he shuts down and has no idea what to do and will back right off looking sad and confused. Fable will need a home with at least one other dog to guide him and help boost his confidence. He will need to learn about house training and other such home skills. Fable needs time, patience and encouragement to help him bloom. He has a PETS passport document.

13-09-22 UPDATE

Fable has improved since he arrived and runs to the kennel door to say hello, he gets a waggy tail whenever you show him the lead and he loves all types of dogs. Fable is still timid when out on walks and he can see people walking past or he's passing cars and he will lie down on the ground but then once the scary thing has passed he carries on with investigating all the smells. Fable is good on the lead and doesn't pull very hard, he is quite a calm lab when with his friends and around humans so his kennel mum said he'd probably be good for everyone including older couples.
Fable gets a lot of his confidence especially whilst out from his kennel friend so would need a nice resident dog to show him the ropes and be a support system for him until he gets used to his human family. Whilst in the yard Fable doesn't run up to you but will sniff around and will follow you if you have a lead on show. All this improvement in just 2 weeks imagine what a home with gentle attention and love would allow this handsome boy to flourish into!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
