If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

ONYX IS VERY CLOSE TO HER FRIEND YUKI  SO WE WOULD LIKE TO HOME THEM TOGETHER.

01-09-2022 Onyx is the sweetest and most gentle soul who has come to us from a breeder.  She has luxated patellas and needs to see a vet for this, so she is now not available for adoption until we have had her X-rayed.
She is clearly nervous and not used to human attention but despite her worry she is easy to handle and rests her head on you once she is on your lap.  She loves her friend Yuki so once Onyx has seen the vet and had X-rays we will be looking to home them together either with with another dog or dogs or with experienced owners we may consider homing them without another dog.  Theyy will both need to learn about house training and lead walking etc so her adopters will need to be very kind and patience if there is not another dog to help them learn.  In time and with love and patience Onyx will be a loving and wonderful friend. ome life.  She has a PETS passport document.

28-09-22 UPDATE
Onyx has now seen a specialist. She has luxating patellas on both back legs. She has had X-rays which show the right side is more effected than the left side and likely developed this at an early age. She may benefit from surgery in the future but would also require radiographs to access the degree of deformity before surgery could be performed. The specialist has advised that some cases can be a challenge to correct with standard techniques and in Onyx's case even more since it has changed the way that the muscle and bone devloped over time. Onyx's adopters would need to be prepared for any medical costs that this may incur as this would not be covered by insurance.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
