04-09-2022 Wren is a very frightened girl who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is super sweet but overwhelmed about everything at the moment.  Wren will need a calm and quiet adult only home with at least one resident dog to be her friend and help her to settle into her new life. She has never lived in a home before and so this will be quite scary at first as she learns about home life and new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. These are things which may take her a while to pick up as the garden may be a scary as the house at first so her adopters need to have plenty of patience and love to help her learn. When Wren is ready lead walking should begin in the garden before progressing to outside in quiet areas and the importance of double leading Wren cannot be stressed enough.  In time she will start to understand that her adopters love her she will love them back tenfold. Wren has a PETS passport document. Wren has a Grade 2 heart murmur. She doesn't require any medication for this but it is something her adopter and their vets will need to monitor.

22-09-22 UPDATE

Wren has been settling into a foster home this week where she has immediately discovered the joy of a comfy armchair. While she is a little timid, she will shyly come up to you with her tail wagging and give you lots of licky kisses. She really is very sweet. We have started harness and lead training with Wren, she is a beginner but is doing well. Wren has been clean in the house since her arrival, as she is copying our resident dogs when they toilet in the garden. Wren will need a home where there is at least one other kind dog, who won’t mind having Wren as their shadow, as she is very reliant on other dogs to learn from and snuggle with.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
