XANTHE WOULD LIKE A HOME WITH HER FRIEND KEY IF POSSIBLE

28-09-22 Xanthe is a beautiful girl who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. This girl deserves a home where she will be cherished. She is a shy gIrl who is feeling very overwhelmed at the moment and will hide away rather than come forwards to us. She is in need of plenty of TLC and kindness. Xanthe is very reliant on her kennel friends escpcially Key. They would love to be homed together and if this was the case they wouldn't need another dog already in the home. Xanthe will need to learn about house training, how to walk on a lead and will need a calm and quiet home without children to help her adjust to her new world. She has no idea how much she is going to love it yet. Xanthe has a passport.

25-10-22 UPDATE

Xanthe (who has been named Topsy by the grandchildren) has been here in foster for a week. She is extremely nervous but does allow us to gently stroke her and let us pick her up although not comfortable with it.She is however a foody and will come to you if there's a chance of something to eat.We brought her home with her kennel mate Key and it has become obvious that she loves Key and follows her every move so we would love it if the found a home together. She does go out the garden provided her friend is there and will come in of her own account if we call her.Lots of time and patience is going to be the key in getting Topsy to learn to trust but once she does then we are sure she will give all the love she can to her humans.

03-11-22 UPDATE

Xanthe is patiently waiting for her forever home with her friend Key. Its slow progress with her as she's not as confident as Key and still doesn't like being stroked, but she again has a waggy tail and always greets me with a lick of the hand. In fact in the morning when I come down she is so excited she does a little dance, whether that is because she is glad to see me or knows she will soon have breakfast I don't know. She has made a big step forward yesterday by coming in the lounge and actually staying there for a while. Her and Key are like two peas in a pod always together. Again she is no trouble and a joy to look after but I'd love to see her and her friend being adopted and getting settled in a forever home together.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
