07-10-22 Kamila is a beautiful girl who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She is a very worried girl who doesnt know anything about the big wide wirld so is feeling rather overwhelmed at the moment and needs lots of TLC. Kamila has a grade 3 heart murmur which is not causing her any issues at the moment but is something that will need to be monitored by her new vet. If she needs treatment for her heart in the future this will not be covered on insurance so please take this potential cost into account before applying. She will hide away from us at the moment and will try to evade being picked up at the moment.  She will need at least one dog in her new home that she she can copy and learn from. Kamila has never lived inside so needs to learn all about housetraining, how to walk on a lead and other such home skills. She is looking for someone special who will give her the love and kindness she so deserves in a quiet, adult home.

23-10-22 UPDATE

Kamila is such a sweet girl. She clearly wants to trust us but she is still struggling.  Despite this having never met me before I was able to sit by her and stroke her without her panicking and running way. Kamila would love another dog to help her learn how being a pet works as she’s never been in a home before, this will help her learn quicker and she will understand that humans won’t hurt her when she sees another dog getting fusses. I know we have so many cockers who look similar and have the same issues, doesn’t mean any of these individuals aren’t special in their own way. If you have space in your heart and your sofa for a little red head girl then please apply for Kamila! You won’t regret it!

02-12-22 UPDATE
Kamila has settled well in her foster home and is a very happy and affectionate girl. Although she was shy to start with a few treats won her round in minutes. She gets on well with the other dogs and ignores the cats. Kamila is 90% clean in the house with just the occasional accident overnight. She has started lead training but still a little apprehensive so we are practising at home. She is still a timid dog, especially with sudden movement, noise, new people etc but she recovers almost immediately. Her confidence will grow with all these new experiences and she so wants to be part of this new world. Kamila will need a calm and patient owner who has time to spend helping her to be the best companion she desperately wants to be.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
