If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.
30-10-2022 Shant is a lovely confident lady who has come to us from a breeder. She is a typical GSD who already knows how to walk on a lead but does pull a little to start with. As she is used to going out it shouldn’t take her long to learn about house training if she needs to. Shant would like to be homed as an only dog and cannot live with cats or small furries. We would consider homing her with teenaged dog-savvy children who are kind and respectful around dogs and have experience of GSDs or similar breeds. In a loving home who will give her time to adjust and settle Shady will start to shine.

Shant is a wonderful lady who just wants to play! She carries a mini football around in her mouth as much as she can and it is her best friend at the moment! She is currently kennelled alone as she has been quite bossy with other dogs but this is something we are working on. We are socalising her with other dogs and understanding how she interacts around them and she is a typical Shepherd in how she plays! She would be happier as an only dog in the home but we are hoping that her socalising can continue and she can have some friends!

Shant is such a gorgeous gorgeous girl, and I have absolutely no idea why she's still waiting here for a home. Shant loves her football and as long as she has this she's a happy lady! She also loves cuddles and affection, and of course dinner time! Shant spends her days lying in bed waiting for the next person to sit with her or take her out for a walk/play ball. I can just imagine how chilled and happy she'd be in her very own warm home.Shant cannot live with cats and needs to be an only dog.

Shant is such an amazing girl, she loves her ball which she enjoys carrying around with her most of the time, she also loves a fuss and having company in her kennel.
When going on walks she is quite a strong girl and can pull sometimes, with someone who isn't used to big dogs. She is ready to get started with her new life and will be perfectly happy being an only dog in the home. If you're looking for an easy dog who can be an only, then Shant might be the girl for you.

I met Shant for the first time today and she is the sweetest girl. She knows how to sit and wait and walks nicely on the lead. She now has a kennel friend and loves having a play. She loves human company and loves having a good brush so much she lays flat out enjoying every minute. I can’t believe she's still here.
25-04-25 UPDATE
As you can see Shant has been here way too long! She’s had numerous updates and here is another one to let you know where she is at and how wonderful she is. I’ve attached video of her playing with her new kennel friend which is amazing to see as she has been down as an only and not been kennelled with anyone so to see how she is starting to come around and enjoy the company of another dog is fantastic. She also adores any type of ball. She will oftenly be seen with one in her mouth. She also loves to play catch. She is a strong girl on a lead but walks perfectly on a halti so that makes it a lot easier for anyone that isn’t the strongest. She is adored across the board here at the rescue and we all want this awesome girl to find her forever home! If you are the right person please put in an adoption form at the bottom of the page.

I don’t really know what more I can say about Shant that hasn’t already been said. She is incredibly special and I am completely confused as to why she is still with us. Shant loooooooves balls and is rarely seen with one in her mouth. Shant has an abundance of energy and love to give to anybody who will be lucky enough to have her in their lives. Shant is a companion for life and will become a massive part of whatever family she gains, that she most truly deserves. Shant is incredible and she has more than done her time here in kennels. Come get her and give her the life she really does deserve!

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
