01-11-22 Spring has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. Spring has a wonderful personality and is such a little character. She is an inquisitve girl who is quite confident when around her kennel friends but much more unsure when away from them so at the moment she is looking for a home with another kind dog. Spring will be looking for an active home, with no young children and with someone who can keep her clever Collie brain busy. She can be a little vocal in kennels so this is something that her new adopters may need to work on with her. She has never lived in a home before and so her adopters will need to be kind and patient as she learns all about home life and things like house training and how to walk on a lead. With time and love she is going to flourish into the most incredible girl and whoever adopts her is going to completely adore her. Spring has a passport.

29-11-22 UPDATE

Spring shows that the best things really do come in small packages! She is a tiny, dainty collie and we think she's great. She's adapting well to life in a home and has definitely decided that what we call walks are amazing, she smiles the whole time she's outside.
Spring may be small, but she is still a full collie and will need an active lifestyle with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation - she has potential to be super at obedience or a sport as she just wants to listen and please. She is timid and still quite worried, but follows us around like a shadow and rarely takes her eyes off us, waiting for instruction. She has already learnt to sit and come, she's getting the hang of a lead but doesn't pull, rather she orbits round you to stay close.
Other dogs are very important to Spring, not least because she takes her cue from them about everything so she'll need another dog in the home to copy. She will want a collie savvy home with someone around a lot of the time, and like most collies, will thrive with a regular routine and become even more of a star.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
